Awesome, will def watch Jack Ryan.

As for the Marvel shows on Netflix, I've only watched Punisher and it kicked serious ass. LOVED IT. It takes like 3-4 grueling episodes to get going but then it takes off like a rocket. I've definitely discussed it in this thread before, so I'm being repetitive.

My son has watched all of the Marvel Netflix shows.
I've seen Daredevil and Jessica Jones season 1 of both and liked them but they are too violent for my wife.
Watched both Seasons of Luke Cage and would highly recommend it.

I loved DD and JJ season 1. Made it through Luke Cage, but didn't love it. Didn't bother with Iron Fist or Defenders. I stopped DD 2 halfway through when it was ninjas and Elektra and holes underground and it was just a mess.

I started Punisher but stopped after two for some odd reason. I totally forgot it existed until just now. Same with JJ2. Damn I have lots of TV to watch.

Finished Ozark season 1. I really thought he was gonna drown that baby! Really cheap trick pulled by Bateman there based on how the guy was acting the whole time. Also, I know she serves a purpose, but Snell's wife is just the worst. A nothing character only there to piss you off and be a terrible person. Weakest link on anotherwise awesome show.

TWD Sunday night could have been titled The Walking Dead: The HR Episode. Changes in personnel assignments, work sites, and departmental allocations; the first draft of a new management structure and organizational chart; and the opening of a discussion about an entirely new policies and procedures handbook. Plus, they killed a few zombies.

The Haunting of Hill House is creepy and terrific. One of my favorite things of the year.

No spoilers but the Bent-Neck Lady episode is great.

I'm more excited for Sabrina. I don't like horror so I think I'm gonna skip Hill House.

I experience horror movies via reading the Wikipedia entry for them. I thought I was alone until I read this article a while back.

I watched the first episode over the weekend and enjoyed it.

    Other reviews:

    Jack Ryan - excellent.
The Sinner - better than I thought it'd be.

I enjoyed Jack Ryan but I'm glad it was only 8 episodes. I never read any of the books so I don't know but was he that perfect in the books? An ivy league educated marine who has a doctorate of economics, worked on Wall St before joining the CIA as an analyst who can take down terrorists in several nations? It was basically 24 only 8 episodes, not 24. Still good but a little far fetched.

The Sinner was better than I thought too. It was a well put together mystery.

Yeah, Jack Ryan is that way in the books. I agree I was glad it was just 8 episodes. Perfectly good popcorn TV, but would have been too much if it was any more episodes.

I enjoyed the The Sinner last year when it was on USA. The second season with Carrie Coon was good too, but the first season was better.

Halfway thru S2 of The Sinner.

Finished Forever. I really thought it was offbeat and great.

Thru 6 eps of Jack Ryan. A tad slow moving. We'll see when it's done, but it seems it could have been a couple less episodes.

Ooh, also I watched the first episode of Matthew Weiner's new project The Romanoff's on Amazon. I enjoyed the first one quite a bit and I've heard the second is even better.

New episodes of that show will be dropped every Friday. Which is fine, you want want to binge this show, each episode is 90 mins.

Anyone else watching the Dragon Prince on Netflix? It's for kids, but still a well made high fantasy anime from the head writer of the Last Airbender.

I've heard good things. Want to watch it with my son, but feel like it will be over his head. He is 4.

If you like cooking/travel shows, try Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat on Netflix. It's so charming and interesting. Samin Nosrat is a delight.

My wife watched them and I saw some of the episodes (admittedly I wasn't watching all that intently). Maybe I missed something but it seemed kind of pointless to me. They sort of feel like a well produced, well acted, Lifetime movie. (especially the second episode)

I still haven't watched the second one but I don't think that is fair at all. The first episode is very much about class, privilege and racial attitudes in France. I don't think those are pointless topics.

I suspect most of the series will be about class and privilege. That may not be a subject that interests you, but it isn't pointless.

Also, Lifetime movies aren't well-acted or well-produced, that is what makes them Lifetime movies.
