Fully agree. The show (prior seasons) was beginning to drag just a little, but this final season has been outstanding. And yes, Freddy Highmore has been absolutely outstanding as Norman, particularly as he sinks deeper into the depths.

I had no idea there were so many Bates Motel fans on here. I'd have discussed it more!

Last season was really good as well. Most of what happened prior seemed like a lot of filler and not enough Norman. His scenes were usually always good. They couldn't have cast him any better. He's got the look and the mannerisms dead on.

What I really like is that she is essentially still a "veep" a wildly ambitious, self-centered person with absolutely no power.

    It all still works.

Yes. I wonder how they are going to manage a season with a bunch of the main characters off in different directions.

I guess there's the Selina camp, the Jonah camp and the Amy camp...?

Tony Hale continues to kill it in the most subtle of ways.

A few things that I learned on Fargo tonight. If I am ever lucky enough to buy a time-machine and go to East Germany, do not buy any property. Do not ever call a number that has clicks and buzzers as a reply. And absolutely never threaten people who live in 3rd story apartments that face the front of the building.
I cannot get enough of Fargo.

May looks like a very busy month for Netflix original series. Lots of days when two series are being released in one day and that 5/30 is a Tuesday so it looks like Netflix is moving beyond just a Friday release date.

    5/5 Sense8 season 2
5/12 Master of None season 2
5/12 Anne with an E (Anne of Green Gables reboot) season 1
5/19 Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 3
5/19 The Keepers (cool looking documentary series about a nun that was murdered in Baltimore)
    5/26 Bloodline season 3
5/30 House of Cards season 5
    5/30 F is for Family season 2

Yeah, that looks really cool. April 2017 might be the peakiest of PeakTV months so far.

I loved the movie, and I love the TV show even more. Any thoughts on how the introduction will relate to the series?

I was trying to figure that out too and other than there are many people who immigrated from Germany to that part of the country, I have no idea. Maybe it will tie into Austin Powers dad, bad teeth and all, and his ominous "lenders" but clearly though he said that they were Americans.

LOL... VM Varga is his name in the show. I wonder if he's part the new Fargo syndicate since Lorne Malvo wiped them all out in season 1 (in 2006). Or maybe he's part of the Kansas City syndicate, or something else. We'll see.

This series is so well written & directed. I've said here before, and I'll say it again this is the best show on TV in the post Breaking Bad era! There are 4 characters that I would love to see comeback from the previous 2 seasons. Noah Hawley probably won't do it because this season seems to be totally separate from the previous 2, but here they are:

    1. Mr. Wrench (the def hitman). What happened to him after he left the hospital when Malvo gave him the keys to the cuffs. in season 1

    2. Mike Milligan from season 2. What happened to him after he was forced to work behind a desk and an 8'x8' office for the KC syndicate

3.Charlie Gerhardt-the last surviving member of the Gerhardt syndicate from season 2.

4.And Peggy Bloomquist. By 2010 she would have spent 31 years in jail. Maybe she gets out and she has a role in season 3.

I found her more self centered and just mean than she's ever been. My favorite line was when she mused about how she wasn't president of the Dominican Republic.

Haha, yeah that was a true laugh out loud moment.

And of course she is more self scented and mean. She just lost and was humiliated.

Stan Beeman was given the biggest clue that his new girlfriend is a soviet spy this week. While they were watching Breaking Away together, she related a story about going to Bloomington and Renee called the great institution of higher learning, Indiana University, U of I! Any self respecting, non spy, American knows that it has always and forever, been known as IU. Come on Stan, put the pieces together.

Here's a good analysis of the opening scene/prologue to Fargo season 3:

    https://www.bustle.com/p/what-does-t...eference-52400

I just realized german officer in the opening scene is accusing the guy of being Yuri Gurka. One of VM Varga's hitmen's name is Yuri Gurka.

Two hours of tremendous television last night on HBO.

The Leftovers was stunning. Carrie Coon - what an amazing performance, and this show just continues to be excellent.

Silicon Valley - Season premier and it keeps bringing the laughs.

VEEP - There is nothing funnier.
