Having a 1.7 WHIP and a 2.21 ERA over 32 innings is amazing. Lots of walking the bases loaded and getting out of it I guess

Yeah, I checked in on him a week or so back and cringed at the walks. He might've even had more walks than K's at that point.

Why hello, old post. How are you doing?

    Rutherford (A+): 48 G, .283 / .325 / .419 / .744, 11 2B, 3 3B, 3 HR, 38K, 12 BB, .336 BABIP, 107 wRC+

    Over his last 25 games and 104 PAs he's .212 / .279 / .333 / .612, good for a 73 wRC+.

Vlad Jr. has a strained patellar tendon in his left knee. He's shutdown for the next four weeks.

Feel like he is going to be Nolan-esqe in that way. When he's on and getting his breaking ball over he could be a top 10 prospect in the game. When his control is off, he's Harold Garce in the DSL.

A solid game for him, which he could use a lot more of since he's really struggled this year.

There was talk that he was behind the others in his preparation for the season due to a procedure he had in the off-season, or something. So maybe (hopefully??) he is finally catching up.

That's interesting. Hadn't heard about that before. That could explain his troubles this year.

I dunno about that. I think at this point the bone chips surgery should not be an excuse.

He's been up and down but it could just be inconsistency more than anything.

ē Michael Kopech, RHP, White Sox. Kopech is fine as long as he throws strikes. Last night, he could not find the strike zone. The righthander struck out two and walked eight in three innings as he allowed five runs. He threw only 35 strikes in 86 pitches.

Is Mateo the next Billy Hamilton. AKA tons of speed, with no hit tool.

Ben Badler: Mateo has more strength in his swing, but yeah, a lot of holes getting exploited right now with the bat.

Well this is not something I expected to read.

Joe Frisaro @JoeFrisaro 10m10 minutes ago
Iím hearing rumblings that Jose Devers, the 18 yr old phenom shortstop at @GSOHoppers could soon, not happened yet, be promoted to @GoHammerheads That would be another big jump for Devers, who is on the fast track. @Marlins
