And, Trout does such incredible stuff so easily and somehow quietly that he doesn't get the same adoration as guys with similar talent levels. Griffey had flash (The Kid) that added to his unbelievable skill, Bonds was an ass on top of his insane performance, etc. Trout doesn't even have a proper nickname outside of the awful HS one.

Judge basically seemed like he was a video game player using cheat codes this April to us Yankee fans and yet Trout actually outperformed him as a CFer. No one was going, "what an insane first month from Trout." It was more like, "yeah, he's really good, nothing new there." It's as if his legendary ability/performance has become boring because of how consistent he is and how simply he goes about it. That's my point.

A bit more information on Jose Altuve's two doubles and two triples in the same game feat. Altuve became the first player ever to record two or more doubles and two or more triples in the same game and not score a run.

Seriously, is there a less likeable team in baseball than this current Blue Jays team? They're just a horrible collection of douche bags:

And that was after Bautista styled on a solo HR that cut the Braves lead to 8 - 4.

In the 8th inning, no less.

Gammons reported that a Brave told him there would be a fight today due to Freeman getting his hand broken after being hit by a pitch. Didn't look intentional but I don't think it matters at this point.

I like it. The Braves have nothing to play for. Do the lord's work.

Sometimes when I'm sad I watch a clip of Odor punching him. Sometimes in slow motion. It makes me happy again.

MLB has an agreement with Facebook that will allow Facebook to broadcast a game every Friday, with no blackouts. Starts this Friday.

I really don't think there is. The Red Sox were pretty annoying, but the Blue Jays have taken it to a whole new level. The thing about it to me is that it's their star players that are leading the parade.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

The Blue Jays have issued a two-game suspension to center fielder Kevin Pillar, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports on Twitter. The 28-year-old has acknowledged and apologized for his use of a homophobic slur during an argument in last night’s game.

Bingo, i don't mind the Sox because as heated as the rivalry has been these past years, it's been in a professional "who's the better team" type of rivalry. The Jays are full of garbage and i'm so happy to see them failing. Their fans are almost as bad. I live in Ontario and all I see are bandwagon Jays fans who have a very hard time naming the starting roster LOL. I liked Edwin and i'm so glad he got out of there. How do you possibly defend injuring an all-star caliber player and the ridiculous bat flip...... Gonna be watching the game tonight with a can of beer and pizza because it's gonna be extra juicy!

It's a shame that Beltre held Bautista up. I wanted to see him hit the ground.

Anibal Sanchez, who won the AL ERA title in 2013, has a 9.00 ERA and was sent to the minors.

I am assuming he agreed to this as he has way too many years of experience to still have options.

I would give Mike Trout Barry Bonds treatment at this point. There's no reason to pitch to him when you look at the Angels lineup.

You know what, if that is true, good for him. It takes a lot of guts to admit that and accept that demotion voluntarily given his major league accomplishments, and put the team first..
