Yep. Also, Carl Ravech to have his role greatly reduced. Kannell got the axe, and Ryen Russillo is also having his role "greatly reduced". I didn't like Kannell as much as SVP teamed with Russillo, but still a good listen, they made me laugh.

Baseball Tonight will only be on Sunday Nights and for special events. ESPN seems to be going the way of MTV - if any of you actually remember how MTV started.

In a 12-2 loss to Pittsburgh, Miami's Jose Urena became the eighth reliever since 1913 and the first reliever since 1950 to allow at least 12 hits and 2 runs or fewer.

    From ESPN.com:

(Josh) Reddick became the seventh player in MLB history to reach base twice in one game on catcher's interference calls. It was the eighth time it happened in history as Pat Corrales did it twice in 1965, according to Baseball Reference.

Their disaster of a season (so far) couldn't happen to a more deserving fan base.

The key takeaway here is that it sends a significant blow to the Nationals' chances of winning the World Series, which bodes well for Harper's exit from Washington.

...I admit, I haven't kept track of prospects other than Yankees, but a few years ago wasn't Jurickson Profar a top prospect?
I remember reading his name a lot here for some dream trade proposals.

Not just a top prospect. Profar was the top prospect in baseball in 2013 according to some rankings.

The MLB batting average is .247 so far. From 2000 through 2016 the lowest season batting average was .251.

In 46 plate appearances of which 37 were at-bats and 8 were walks, Profar has:

    .135 average
    .289 on base percentage
    .135 slugging percentage
    .424 OPS
    3 RBI
    5 runs
You can tell from his average and slugging percentage that he doesn't have an extra base hit.

Instead of navigating through ESPN for scores or MLB.com for video highlights, I've been using this site: https://baseball.theater/

Not much to it-- it's just the box scores and video highlights-- but that's usually all I'm looking for.

I'm sure some of you probably knew about this site already, but I just found out about it and unlike you selfish bastards I'm letting other people know.

The Mets beat Atlanta 16-5. The Mets became the sixth team since 1913 and the first team since August 25, 1936 to have at least 16 runs, at least 20 hits, at least 9 doubles, but no triples or home runs.

Boston scored 10 runs in the top of the ninth inning and won 17-6. Minnesota became the second team since 1913 to have at least four pitchers allow at least 2 baserunners while getting no more than 1 out and at least five pitchers (including the four pitchers from the previous part) allow at least 2 baserunners while getting no more than 2 houts. The pitchers were Taylor Rogers, Ryan Pressly, Matt Belisle, Justin Haley, and Craig Breslow. The only one of them to get 2 outs was Pressly. The only previous time since 1913 it happened was when Andy Hansen, Larry Jansen, Dave Koslo, Monty Kennedy, and Sheldon Jones of the New York Giants did it in a 13-12 loss at the Brooklyn Dodgers on July 4, 1948.
