I think with MadBum you need to jump straight to the triple dog dare. I have to give him some credit. Maybe he didn't have a choice with the triple dog dare.

Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Glavine may be part of the Marlins’ next ownership team. The former Brave and Met is a member of a faction that has put in a bid to purchase the franchise from owner Jeffrey Loria, reports Scott Soshnick of Bloomberg.
Glavine informed Cafardo that he believes at least three groups have made efforts to secure the Marlins. Quogue Capital founder Wayne P. Rothbaum is at the helm of one, per reports from both Soshnick and Douglas P. Hanks of the Miami Herald. However, Soshnick’s information differs from Hanks’ with respect to a couple of other prospective buyers, ex-Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. Those two have teamed up to buy the Marlins, according to Hanks, but Soshnick notes that’s not yet the case. Instead, as of now, Jeter and Bush have only discussed working together, per Soshnick.

You want to come out on top, you team up with Derek Jeter.

A group led by former Florida governor Jeb Bush and former New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter have won the auction for the Miami Marlins baseball team, according to a person with knowledge of the deal.

Thanks! Early in the season it's hard for me to devote the kind of attention it takes to post too often. Plus, I get pretty manic depressive (on a goal by goal basis) with the Rangers' post-season, so it takes me awhile to warm up to baseball. All these young guys definitely make it easier to get excited quickly though.

Supposedly he revamped his swing in the off season. I don't what mechanical changes he made but they sure seem to be working so far. And he's been a pleasant late round flier in my 20 team fantasy league.

Remember it was just 2 years ago he hit 290/360/440 and he's only 28.

Funny b/c the tweaks didn't do much in the spring. Hit the exact same avg. (.160ish) and actually worse overall numbers than last spring. Anything is an improvement on last year, though.

Yesterday at Detroit, Seattle's Felix Hernandez, Chris Heston, and Evan Marshall became the first group of three consecutive pitchers for a team in a game since 1913 to pitch 2 or fewer innings, allow at least 4 earned runs, allow at least 6 hits, allow at least 1 walk, and have at least as many walks as strikeouts. Hernandez and Heston have pitched no-hitters fewer than 5 years ago. Seattle had 16 hits and lost by 10 runs, 19-9. Detroit had 24 hits. None of the 40 hits drove in 3 or more runs.

If I were Stark, I'd have left for MLB Network or an outlet that actually gave a ................ about baseball coverage a while ago.

I mean, sure, cord cutting goes straight to the heart of their bread and butter, but ESPN has helped to create its own mess by throwing money and airtime at football 365 days a year, including college 'spring day' analysis and coverage (I mean, what the f?)...

Like it or not, Stephen A Smith obviously generates revenue through ratings.
