Dee Gordon slapped with 80-game suspension for PEDs: exogenous Testosterone and Clostebol.

    Interesting article, in retrospect:
    http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/dee-g...t-improvement/

    Jeff Sullivan, January 2016

I’m not going to lie to you — I didn’t think much of Dee Gordon. Two years ago, I thought he was barely a big-leaguer. Even last year, when the Dodgers sent Gordon to the Marlins, I thought the Marlins were buying high on a utility sort. I was critical of the move when I wrote up the trade, and I felt pretty strongly, and now it’s been another year, and the Marlins have signed Gordon to a five-year deal worth $50 million. And now it’s not a case of the Marlins overpaying. It’s a case of Gordon having proven me wrong. The Dee Gordon that exists now is considerably better than the versions that have come before.
He doesn't imply PEDs, but it's interesting to see what things possibly are compatible with PED-enhancement and what probably isn't.

another hit. Dee Gordon suspended for PEDs. Lol

Bonds is his hitting coach. Go figure.

I see we've all covered this already. Sorry I'm just getting annoyed at my roto team getting killed with this crap. Non performance I can deal with. But this makes me furious.

Tonight at the New York Mets, San Francisco teammates Jake Peavy and Mike Broadway each allowed 6 earned in the third inning, which Peavy started and left with 0 outs. It was the third time since 1913 that two teammates pitched 3 or fewer innings each and allowed at least 6 earned runs in the same inning. On August 8, 2001 at Detroit, Texas's Mike Venafro allowed 6 earned runs and his teammate Brandon Villfuerte allowed 7 earned runs in the top of the ninth inning. On April 14, 2009 hosting Cleveland, the New York Yankees's Chien-Ming Wang allowed 8 earned runs in the top of the second inning in which he left with 1 out. Anthony Claggett came in and gave up 8 earned runs, with 6 of them in the second inning. I checked over 200 box scores on baseball-reference by hand for games where teammates allowed at least 6 earned runs and pitched 3 or fewer innings each. I don't have a way of checking if two teammates have ever allowed 6 earned runs in the same inning when one or both of them pitched more than 3 innings. The six pitchers involved include 2007 Cy Young winner Jake Peavy and 2006 Cy Young runner-up Chien-Ming Wang.

Miami's A.J. Ramos got fifth save in the six days from Sunday to today. Miami led 6-0 and didn't allow a hit in the first 8 innings. Milwaukee got their first hit against a reliever with 1 out in the ninth and went on to score 3 and leave the bases loaded. Jonathan Villar struck out on a full count. If he had walked, Ryan Braun would have batted with the tying run at second and the walk-off run at first. One of Milwaukee's hits in the bottom of the ninth was by former Yankee Ramon Flores.

This. I think the reason is one, football is a violent game so it fits in and people know what 56, 763 and 4,256 mean. Football who can say without looking it up who has thrown for the most yards or most TDs and how much? people care about baseball history and records, football not so much.

So we just need a record holder to get busted with PED in the NFL and people will care?

Not the point I was trying to make. I don't think it matters who is caught in the NFL. people care about records in baseball and not so much the NFL. It might be bigger news if say Tom Brady were caught but it won't be the outrage in the same way it is in baseball.

Did Bonds play a role in Dee's PED use?
It won't be long before we can all forget Cano and realize that Castro can be everything Robinson was for us. - Retired_Doc

If he did, it would prove that Barry Bonds and Dee Gordon are the two most stupid people on the face of the Earth.
