Re: Mixed Martial Arts - UFC, PRIDE FC, etc.

    Bones busted again...

After defeating Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 for the unified and undisputed UFC Light Heavyweight championship title via knockout, Jon 'Bones' Jones failed a drug test at UFC 214 after he was flagged for a doping violation by the USADA.

Boy oh boy. If the UFC officially strips Jones of his UFC title after a confirmed positive drug test for steroids, Jones is done and his legacy will be tarnished.

Can't wait for UFC 229 as Conor McGregor is back inside the Octagon on October 6 from Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena.

McGregor will take on current UFC Lightweight champion and one of the fighters he attacked in the Brooklyn bus incident in Khabib Nurmagomedov.

I used to be annoyed by McGregor but man he’s certainly the underdog in this fight. I’m rooting for the guy for sure and the guy he’s fighting is a stone cold killer with zero losses so it should be a great fight or a quick one like Jose Aldo’s

I have no idea how smart McGregor’s gameplan really is, plus there’s the cardio issue.

    Ay Naku Vin,

    Sobrang galit si Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The riot after the Eagle choked out 'Notorious' Conor McGregor is right up there as one of the most chaotic ever.

It's a combination of the MSG riot after Riddick Bowe-Andrew Golota I in 1996 and the Strikeforce: Nashville brawl after the Jake Shields-Dan Henderson fight in 2010.

Come on Khabib. You won the fight. That was good enough revenge and payback.

Also, somebody tried to fight Conor inside the Octagon.

    What chaos!

Nonsense. Khabib was coming at this from a less than crap-talking perspective, and one of well, respect and dignity.

Thereís been a thread or two over at Deadspin covering this topic...

I think much of the problem is that itís a relatively privileged white guy from a relatively stable country talking [CRAP] about a guy from a country where things like nationality and religion are the source of huge tensions that are always just simmering below the surface. Something that seems like itís just good business/fun for McGregor is a borderline life and death issue for Khabib.

And the UFC just lets this [CRAP] go on.
For Dana and McGregor, an American and an Irishman, mocking someones faith/nationality is just a good way to get heat. The troubles were a long time ago and never touched them. For Khabib, Dagestan is a ďcountryĒ only in name thatís dominated completely by Russia despite numerous separatists attempts for centuries and has frequent religious conflict and fighting. Itís not a joking matter for him.

But why bother caring about that sort of thing when thereís a quick easy buck to be made?
Connor and White seemed to be the only ones not picking up on the fact that Khabib was not BLEEPING playing. Connor comes out like a cartoon villain, insulting Khabibís family, manager, culture and religion, he throws a fake BLEEPING kick at the weigh in and Khabib does nothing. Because you know where heís from itís not a BLEEPING joke.

It doesnít forgive Khabibís actions but itís not surprising at all. McGregor has made his career out of being a brash dipBLEEP, but itís almost as if because he appeals to white, chud dipBLEEPS, he gets away with it... Almost.
Exactly. In the region where Khabib is from if you disrespect someoneís family or religion the best case scenario is getting beat within an inch of your life. Depending on what faction youíve insulted other, not unlikely, options are you, and possibly your whole family, end up in a prison to never be seen again or are just outright murdered.
I agree with the conversation going on there. That and Dana White is a fraud.
