I don't think they have a case here, but it wouldn't surprise me coming from Fasano. Moron. Surprised he didn't find a way to get a holding call on his own play.

Re: The Official America's Team Analysis Thread

Best thing about this win is it shows everyone the Cowboys are what I've thought they were all along. Even Bill "you are what your record says you are" Parcells had been reluctant to lump this team in with the rest of the pack that had hovered around .500--that said a lot to me, and I think they really showed it today.

Still, I'm reluctant to call this a turning point. There have been so many turning points over the past few seasons that resulted in quick letdowns--the "they're not losers anymore" game in '03, the Roy Williams pick game against the Eagles last season, Romo's first start against the Panthers that was followed by that headscratcher in Washington... I hope this game IS a turning point, but it showed them for the talented team they are nonetheless.

I can wait to read the "Drew Bledsoe" Blog this week.

BTW McNabb's out for the year with a torn ACL.

With all the Giants injuries, Dallas is looking good.

    Dallas Remaining schedule...

    Tampa Bay
    @NY Giants
    New Orleans
    @Atlanta
    Philadelphia
    Detroit

The only game I think they'll lose is at NY.

Nope. Even though I like Manning, I was rooting for the Cowboys. But it just makes me laugh how anytime the Colts lose you single-handedly blame Manning. Where was that same blame on Brady in the 2 losses against the Colts and Jets??

I'm glad Parcells was the one to hand the Colts their first loss.

I never hestitate to blame Brady. IMO, he's having his worst season. And his INT to Champ Bailey vs Denver in last year's playoffs was the most damaging play of that game. A potential 10-9 game turned into 17-6 hole.

Unlike Peyton, I can always look at his great performances against top tier defenses in championship seasons past. Brady has nothing to prove to anyone.

When are they going to hire a kicking coach again? There's been nothing but problems ever since they let go of Steve Hoffman and decided to go coachless there--at least with the place-kicking anyway. The punting from McBriar keeps getting better and better.

I kind of agree, in that I didn't really see him do much whining this week but RI, you called him out for it anyway. He was unhappy he didn't get an illegal contact call on his last pass, I mean of course he is, he knows the game is over if he doesn't get a semi-gift call. I'd have argued for it too

The only thing that Really annoyed me that he did was directly call out his teammates after losing in the playoffs a couple years ago. His commercials are silly, but he gets a lot of ................ for very little

First off the bat, I dont want to see Newman returning punts ever again. Let Patrick Crayton do it. I thought the key to the game was containing Reggie Wayne. That coupled with the pass rush showing up and putting some pressure on Peyton won this game. This was inded a good win. Let's just hope they don not turn around and give the next game away like they did in the Carolina-Washington good win-bad loss embarassment.

Here's a pretty good Mick Spagnola piece on DeMarcus Ware, all the duties he's asked to take on, and the historic pace at which he's succeeding:

    http://www.dallascowboys.com/news.cf...B98E2EE00931FA

One play he is a linebacker blitzing off the slot, sacking the quarterback and causing a fumble one of his teammates recovers.

The next play he's crashing down the line of scrimmage from a two-point stance tight to the line of scrimmage, wrapping up the ball carrier from behind.

The next play he just might be rushing the quarterback with his hand on the ground as a defensive end, turning the corner with uncommon speed and strength.
As I posted in the Merriman roids thread, I have never regretted for a second that the Cowboys took Ware instead.

Nat, have you encountered folks that thought your Boys should have taken Merriman?

FWIW, I thought that Ware was a better pick, too.

This from AP. I'm already looking forward to what he's planning on doing (assuming he scores a TD)

The Cowboys (6-4) and Buccaneers (3-7) meet at Texas Stadium in a Thanksgiving Day matchup lacking some sizzle. Owens, however, is already looking forward to putting on a show in his first time playing on the holiday.

'I'm definitely looking forward to it,' he said. 'Any time that spotlight is available, I'm going to try to stick my head in it, try to get some of it.

Considering he's already added to his resume of touchdown celebrations by using the football as a pillow, don't be surprised if he gets to the end zone and pretends to carve a turkey or does some sort of re-enactment of the pilgrims at Plymouth Rock.

'I got some things up my sleeve,' Owens said. 'I got something planned.'>>

At the time I wanted them to pick Merriman. I still think Merriman is a better player, but with him getting suspended for roids....it makes picking Ware look better.

Btw, your thoughts on Romo?? I know you werent a big fan of him even getting a shot at the starting job. He is proving you wrong.

Parcells asks Ware to do so many things, and he does them all well. And he's a great guy, to boot.

I'm thrilled that he's proving me wrong. I've already said that here a bunch of times. He's doing a fantastic job of suppressing the Favreness, his release is fantastically quick, and he's got such great pocket awareness. You can't argue with the best QB rating in the NFC, a stat that attests to great accuracy and limited turnovers.

To top it all off, not only is the entire team behind him, he's been endorsed by Roger Staubach. If he's good enough for Roger, he's certainly good enough for me.

Re: The Official America's Team Analysis Thread

Well, not much to say other than a damn good game played. With the exception of the first drive, which was aided by 2 non calls going against the Cowboys(Hands to the face of Ware and a take down of Ware on the long pass the JG). After that Romo just took over.

Am I the only one leaning towards Barber getting more touches?
