The 2021 NHL Outdoor Games will take place in Lake Tahoe's Edgewood Tahoe Resort this weekend.

The Vegas Golden Knights will take on the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday February 20 at 3 ET/Noon PT on NBC.

On Sunday February 21, the Philadelphia Flyers will take on the Boston Bruins at 2 PM ET/11 AM PT on NBC.

NHL chief creative officer Steve Mayer also informed ESPN's hockey insider Greg Wyshynski that they have backup plans if one of those four teams not make it due to COVID protocols.

Meanwhile in the 2021 NHL Lake Tahoe Games, the Colorado Avalanche beat the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 on Saturday after play was suspended after the first period due the heat and sunlight jeopardizing the ice conditions.

Play resumed at midnight Eastern, 9 PM Pacific and ended nearly 2 AM ET Sunday.
