Nope, he'll play today, but Stanton will be rested today. Judge probably tomorrow.

It was just a joke. Even the Yankees wouldn’t activate someone to give them a day of rest.

I would guess Judge is the DH tonight. Since no Stanton tonight.

    Probably.

Being activated can take a lot out of a person.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

That's true but I never got the feeling the Ellsbury situation was similar to the Cespedes situation where clearly the Mets had some leverage over the situation.

I more got the feeling the Yanks were like "Hey Jacoby, just keep rehabbing while we cash these insurance checks". When the contract was no longer insured it was like "see ya. Oh BTW we're suing to not pay you that last year because you saw a different doctor"

Gross. Bat Hicks lower. Guy shouldn't be batting 3rd.

Lineup ok except for no Gleyber. But you know according to Boone it's a minor issue.

While I agree 6th would be a better spot for him in this line up, his .374 OPB plays well in front of Luke/Gio/Clint who can drive him in. Not so well in front of Gary/Wade/Higgy.

Don't really care about that. Just bat the better hitters in order. Hicks isn't a #3 hitter. They got to stop being so concerned about handedness.

Actually he could. The question is that if you believe he could be the Yankees version of Ortiz.

    Re: 2020 Regular Season Notes

WRT to Voit Yanks have control of him for 4 more years through his age 34 season through arbitration. What kind of package would have to be coming back for the Yankees to give up 4 years of prime production at relatively inexpensive salaries for the next 4 years for a player they can cut loose after his age 34 season?

I doubt Voit is untouchable by any means, but I have to think the return coming back would need to be quite large to deal him.

Why would you ever trade Voit? Just DH him and get a 1B.

Clint's value couldn't be higher right now. If I'm selling high on someone, it's him.

    Re: 2020 Regular Season Notes

Clint and Voit's values are sky high...Cash in those chips before they become Andujar, Sanchez and Adams in terms of value.

Only seems like Andujar can rebound and maybe just maybe Sanchez can return to a normal player next year in a full season but I doubt it.

Given the health and age of the NY outfielders it seems Clint would be an outfielder of the future for them.
    Gardener-done after this yr
    Tauchman-light bat
    Hicks-underperform and injury prone
    Stanton-DH only, no field
    Judge-health?
