I'll go first with a few thoughts
-difficult to resell due to pandemic fears
-a very good resale market due to pent up demand from Yankees fans
-loss of the tourist market as travelers just are not in NY
-most sales will be close to game day and prices will be low
-will StubHub survive to be a secondary marketplace?
-will TicketMaster/Live Nation survive as a primary marketplace?
-games will be cancelled and Yankees will refund all ticket purchases

    Your thoughts?

Demand will be down, no surprise there.

If there is a 25% or 50% attendance cap, then supply is down as well. Maybe no net impact on supply vs demand.

People who can drive to the game are more likely to attend. People who take the subway are less likely to go.

The only sure thing is the Yankees are getting their money upfront and are not assuming any liability for Covid.

There is no demand. They just shut Broadway. They want your money up front but there is no reason to give it to them.

Maybe the Yankees will let us renew for 2022, instead of for 2021, and give us $500 of merchandise if we don't cancel our plans?

The NLCS allowed some fans in last night, so maybe that's a good sign in the right direction.

The state of Texas is allowing fans in the ballparks. The NLCS at Globe Life Field can have a capacity of 25%. For the WS also at Globe Life Field, I believe the capacity is also 25%.
CA not allowing fans yet so no fans for the Rays/Astros series.

The Cowboys also had fans in the stands for their last game.

Florida and Georgia also allowing fans with restrictions. But we still have the same problem in NY. Emperor Cuomo. 48 states now have open movie theatres with restrictions. Not a hint of when they will open in New York State.

    Did you take the subway?
Did you high-five a stranger in the stands?
Have you ridden public transportation in the last 14 days?
Have you been in close contact with anyone who has ridden public transportation in the last 14 days?

The only way you may conceivably be able to prove you got it at the Yankees game is to testify beyond a reasonable doubt, that you stayed isolated from humans for 14 days, drove your car to the stadium, and didn't pass anyone on the street until you got to your seat. Not possible.

The waiver is there simply to prevent the Yankees from having to send lawyers to court / litigation. You know the risks. You bought your ticket. You knew what you were getting in to. (I say... Let 'em crash...)

Did the ticket taker, food server or security guard take the subway? Are the Yankees testing the Stadium staff employees the same way the players are being tested? Are the Yankees making any effort to keep the customers safe from covid? They do not have any obligation to do anything regarding covid. Attend at your own risk and peril.
