I saw this earlier tonight, it is a somber time. He was a great baseball man and I learned a lot talking to him during his time in the org.

So I feel like I haven’t seen a lot of news as far as contingency planning for teams’ minor leaguers in terms of developmental plans. Are they just supposed to sit around and lose any chance at developing their skills this year ? I have to imagine teams have some sort of organized/official plan for their players even though there won’t be games, right?

Additionally, with that in mind, does anyone else wonder what this “lost year” might serve as an impact negatively to a lot of potential top prospects in different organizations ? That’s what worries me the most.

I remember reading about the possibility of an expanded Fall League. In Florida, I think.

There were plans for an expanded instructional league and an expanded fall league but with the rise in covid cases in Florida and Arizona that has been put on hold. A lot of Yankees guys are doing work out at home, following plans created for them by the staff.

That bad idea given the state of Florida have no clue as to how to contain Covid. Wherever it is should be a bubble environment.
