Altuve's feeble denial about the buzzer accusation, that the MLB report did not find any evidence of it, got my blood pressure up a bit. Is that all you've got? How about a sincere, convincing explanation of your strange behavior after that walk off instead of the weak sauce about your wife not wanting to see you take your shirt off? As talented as I thought he is, my respect for him has all but disappeared.

What a train wreck. I honestly feel like it might have gone better if Crane just shouted “Thank God we got Osuna! I’m so f------ glad we got Osuna!” as his answer to each question.

    MLB learns nothing.

    The Astros have learned nothing.

There is correlation and causation between those two things.

You can do it in this section of the forum. Just copy and paste the embed code from the tweet.

You reap what you sow. And they continue to sow.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

    Re: Astros cheating investigation

As surprising as it is, I'm actually starting to expect myself to root vehemently for the Red Sox when they play the Astros this year, and maybe even longer. The Red Sox with Mookie/Price gone will most likely not make the playoffs this season anyway, and with Pedroia all but dead as a player and the douche Verdugo still feeling like an outsider I can't conjure up enough hate for Boston as I can easily do so for the Astros.

Edit- Just to clarify, I still dislike them and will find great enjoyment in every loss and non-life effecting baseball injury and failures by Boston...but they lost my numero uno hated team title to the Astros and lowered to numero dos.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I have encountered the same thing.

The problem isn't the Astros PR team, it's their arrogant owner. He's the one that set the culture for that team. The fish rots from the head down.

I'm sure there was a lot of backroom, Commish/Owner , private conversations as to how exactly this was going to go down publicly after the smoke cleared.
More people have walked on the moon than have scored an earned run off of Mariano Rivera in the postseason.

While Altuve 100% stole the MVP from Judge, Im not so sure the Astros stole the WS from LA. Since, they also cheated vs Boston and NY in that postseason, who knows what team ends up in the World Series if they werent cheating. IF its Yankees vs Dodgers, my money was on the Yankees taking the trophy.

The bounce of a single ball can impact a game. But we cheated because it didn't impact the games. Cheat, then insult everyone's intelligence.

    https://theathletic.com/1603448/2020...ything-to-win/

BRADENTON, Fla. — When Chris Archer returned to his hotel room in Houston after a puzzling start against the Astros on Aug. 1, 2017, his cell phone buzzed with a FaceTime call from an Astros player. Archer answered.

“Dude, you’ve got good sh*t,” the Astro told him. “You were just tipping.”

Archer had pitched into the seventh inning that night in a 6-4 Rays win, but on a few swings it seemed like the Astros hitters knew what pitch was coming. It turns out, they did. The player on FaceTime, whose name Archer won’t disclose, had his answer: He was tipping his pitches. It was fixable.

At the time, Archer bought that explanation. Now, he knows it was a lie. He wasn’t tipping. The Astros were stealing his signs and smacking a trash can.

“It’s pretty messed up,” Archer told The Athletic this week. “The whole thing is messed up.” Later, he added, “It sucks when you dedicate your whole life to something, and somebody’s out there doing some shady sh*t like that.”

I don't know about intentionally in the helmet, but banged up ribs and some mashed fingers/wrists are a pretty good bet.

Altuve plays 2B too. Might see a few runners play fast and loose with the Utley Rule.
