    Totally agree.

It has long been my motto: Never wish for a particular playoff opponent. A hard learned lesson born of experience.

A tired opponent, worn down after five games, the last one, two or three being all-hands-on-deck elimination games: now that you can wish for, and we've got it.

    I'd still prefer the Rays.

I can't help but think what this place would be like if the Yankees' and Astros' fortunes were reversed. A good reminder that probability isn't destiny.

This 100%. Also I think the Yanks would have hfa if they're playing the Rays so I like that part but you shouldn't ever really sleep on any playoff team. Anything is possible. I don't know many fans or "experts" who thought the Astros/Rays would go 5 games.

Just saw Braves are no longer handing out the foam tomahawks in response to the recent discussion surrounding the issue. Also aren’t going to be playing the music with Helsley on the mound. Interesting approach.

No word yet about the practicality of amputating the arms of Braves fans.

If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

Human nature being what it is, I expect Atlanta fans to pretty much do it throughout the entire game because when you tell someone they can't do something - they want to do it even more. Even it is the wrong thing to do.

    They started with first pitch.

I think the record for a postseason inning is 10. I know that's the record for the World Series and it's been done twice.

I assume that's a joke, coming from you. "Historical" inning would be in a game played by history teachers.

    It's a historic inning.

The Cardinals have now been on both sides of a 10-run postseason inning. The Tigers did it to them in Game 6 of the 1968 World Series and the Cardinals do it to the Braves today.
