You remind us of that everyday

How can you not start Happ with a tight leash? This bullpen needs a breather before their arms falls off. If we make it to the WS theyíll be outta gas before it starts.

I think I agree with it. But of course, plans never seem to work in sport.

They probably hope some combination of Happ and one of Cessa/Loaisiga get them 4 innings with no more than 2 runs allowed. That leaves them 5 innings for Green, Heller, Kahnle, Britton, and Chapman. (I'm guessing Green will open though)

Maybe Tanaka is available in some capacity? I'm sure Ottavino will come in to put 1 guy on base and then leave again.

More worried about the offense than the pitching at this point. They need legit shakeup.

Both teams offense have kind of sucked. Gotta hope our dudes go deep more often than their dudes in Houston.

    Re: 2019 Postseason Thread

It’s a pretty weird coin flip tomorrow that slightly favors Houston with them being home and their top relievers being slightly fresher. Will probably be stylistically terrible from a watchers perspective.

No real late inning comebacks so far this series... that could be a thing tomorrow with pens getting stretched

Edit: I hope Hinch loses his mind and pitches Cole on short rest. He might still dominate, but it feels like a better shot than facing him on full rest in game 7. If Cole lost in game 6, game 7 would be pandemonium

Iím ok with Happ starting but if youíre gonna have to throw Cessa in that mix then Iím scared of the outcome. I love Otto but as of late he also scares me.

Youíd have to save Tanaka for game 7 no?

Anyone you need in G6 except Severino and Tanaka who will both be available to duel Cole if they can get there.

Cessa and Happ were pretty similar pitchers this year, with Cessa arguably being slightly better. They are both land mines

Why start Green instead of Happ? One is an actual SP. I think he has it in him to give 3 solid innings and then go to Green

The assumption is that Green is a superior pitcher to Happ over an inning or 2, so you want him facing the top 3-4 hitters in the opposing lineup in the 1st inning. That's the opener strategy in general.

Except for the one game, the pitching has kept them in every game. The Yankees have scored 17 runs, the Astros 16.

I really thought we'd 2 out of 3 at home, but it is what it is. But once again, we seem to be short one or two hits in every losing game. You need more than 4 people hitting to win.

The first inning of Game 4 was the killer.
