Orlando Magic's Evan Fournier and New York Knicks' Frank Ntilikina led Les Bleus with 16 points each as they will take on the Boomers for the bronze medal and try to win their first medal since they captured bronze in 1954.

5 straight finals but tough to lose a top 3 NBA player, a probable HOF shooting guard, a possible HOF wing defender, then your starting Center, and the games best ever 3 point shooter.

They are Dray, Russell and 9 dudes Iíve barely ever heard of going forward. Gonna be a rough season. They canít defend anyone right now.

This might end up being the best thing that happened to them. I can just see them getting into the lottery and getting a top pick, and being right back in it next year when Thompson is back.

That's what happened with the San Antonio Spurs in 1996-97. David Robinson played only six games that season with back and foot injuries and also had Chuck Person out for the year with his back injury.

The Spurs went on to win the 1997 NBA Draft Lottery and drafted Tim Duncan.

Will it happen with the same thing with the Golden State Warriors? Possibly.

Possible, stranger things have happened. Since my post they lost Russell & Green to injuries, not sure how serious or long. And last yearís 1st round pick is also expected to miss 3 weeks.

2nd round pick Eric Paschal had 2 nice games B2B if itís sustainable they found 2nd round gold. Iím skeptical though. And they are counting on two 2 way contract players to fill 35 minutes a night right now. And they donít have the financial flexibility to add either to a full NBA contract. I guess they can go for a medical exemption for Thompson, that seems more likely every day, though I think that requires independent medical evaluation.
