    2019 Jonathan Loaisiga Performance Thread

Haven't found one for him, so teeing one up here in advance of tomorrow's start.

    Good luck, Lasagna.

A huge game for Lasagna this evening against the home run hungry Mariners will solidify the starting rotation missing Paxton and Happ not earning his $17M annual contract so far.

As much as I love the guy, and his abilities are superb, he can't stay healthy. I hope when he comes back he is moved to the pen. Let him air it out for 2-3 innings at a time.

Think this is probably the only way he sticks in the majors.

    https://twitter.com/Yankees/status/1128458753332981761 says:

"The Yankees have acquired 1B/DH Kendrys Morales and cash considerations from Oakland in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

To make room on the 40-man roster, RHP Jonathan Loaisiga has been transferred to the 60-day IL."

I wonder if this is the most Yankee pitchers on the 60 day IL/DL ever. There are six.

He should have remained on the IL with that putrid pitching performance this evening.

Dude could use some more polishing. In my view, he doesn’t throw enough quality strikes to be facing major league hitters.

I agree. Check out the potential bullpen for the ALDS:

    Chapman
    Britton
    Betances
    Ottovino
    Kahnle
    Green
    Loaisiga
    Severino

No need for guys like Cessa, Hale, Holder, Tarpley etc.

I don't understand how anyone is just plugging Lasagna onto the postseason roster with the way pitched yesterday. He needs more time in minors. Seems like he was rushed back to majors after a shaky 4 ER outing at AAA.

He allowed 0 runs, 1 hit, and 2 walks in his last game, but he was sent down to make room for newly acquired Cory Gearrin. Loaisiga's ERA is 0.01 higher than last year, and his FIP is 1.97 higher than last year.
