I retract my last statement. He should stick to the WNBA.

I want more games from Ruocco just so that all of you old farts get aneurysms. Game threads have been unbearable because it seemed like a third of the posts just complained about how much you all hate him, despite Ruocco being generally very well liked anywhere but on these forums where all the old geezers seem to egg each other on in trying to prove that they hate him the most.

Well, they should be happy today, as they have Flash doing the play by play with Paulie doing the color - an all Irish booth today.

Yankees will probably offer him Sterling's gig when he dies in the chair. Which could happen at any moment. He's 81.

i guess it's a generational issue with Ruocco.

    Old heads hate him.

Listening to Don Orsillo do the Rays/Padres game carried on MLB network this afternoon. Why can't the Yankees have a solid play-by-play guy like that broadcasting their games instead of Kay and Ruocco drek?

The Sunday game on ESPN. If Fox does the Saturday I don't see Kay flying there to do one game.

I actually rarely discuss Ruocco in the game threads but if it'll help keep you out of them I'll be glad to start.

10 games in a row with Ryon Roucco killing our ears followed up by John Flaherty putting us to sleep.

Why do the Yankees hate us so much?

Flaherty is in the wrong profession.

I can't imagine that Michael is going to go on the upcoming West Coast trip, and Kenny is appearing so sporadically, .............I look for the Snooze Brothers, Ruocco and Flaherty.

Kay plans to announce the opening five games of the road trip. Roucco will announce the games from Seattle

Now you know why he is so unpopular. He drives me nuts. ABC said it best about sports: "...the ecstasy of victory and the agony of defeat." It's not constant joy and occasional bigger joy.

    Thrill of victory.

But yes, I agree. He conveys excitement, which is nice when something exciting happens. In between, you can take your foot off the gas.

You're right, this time. I was thinking of the Irving Stone novel.
