    Right?

Then again, as Maynerd said, many other candidates are older than that. Freaking boomers don't know when to sit down.

Does that include Elizabeth Warren? Or, does she get some sort of exemption?

I personally would prefer all the over 70s out. But that's my ageism showing. That said of the over 70 crowd I've been most impressed with her.

As it stands now my first choice is probably Harris but Warren is likely my 2nd choice from the field. I like Buttigieg too but I'm not sure enough of America is ready to vote for an under 40 gay man for president.

Yeah I don't understand why anyone would want the most stressful job in the world in their 70s or 80s, but it doesn't impact who I'm voting for.

I would vote for George Burns if he were somehow still alive over Trump.

It absolutely impacts who I'm voting for. Roughly 2 out of every 100 individuals between the age of 65-69 develop dementia. For individuals age 85-89 that rises to 1 out of every 5.
There is steady increase in the incidence of dementia from age 65 to age 80 and beyond.

Liz Warren could be 100 and she’d still get my vote..

    From Dan Zak on Twitter:

Sen. Warren just finished batting around Joseph Otting, the comptroller of currency at Treasury, over policing Wells Fargo. She called his office a “low bar” for oversight.

OTTING: “I find it insulting that you would make that comment.”

    WARREN: “Good.”

It might impact my primary vote, but not the general. Seeing as how Trump is Trump plus he's also gonna be 75.

Yeah when it comes to the general I'll weigh both candidates but will clearly influence my primary vote.

    Good point.

If a guy like Trump can have the launch codes for 2.5 years and resist using them, then I don't see someone as consistently anti-interventionist as Bernie just sun-downing one day and ending the world.

    Exemption, of course!

Ditto. Who are you voting for, btw? "Liz" is the correct answer.

There is one negative (but not enough to keep me from voting for her). If she wins then that is a Senate seat gone. Don’t know the rules for a temporary replacement but the Governor is Republican. Also while Massachusetts leans left, it isn’t a lock her replacement would be a democrat. But again, should not affect who you vote for, just a potential repercussion.

Gov appoints an interim replacement then this:

    Special Election Must be Held
145-160 days after vacancy occurs. If a vacancy occurs after April 10 but on or before the 70th day before the regular state primary, the office shall appear on the regular state primary ballot. If a vacancy occurs after that time, the office shall appear on the state election ballot that November.

He doesn’t even have a chance for VP. Not even for Secretary of HUD.
