Lots of candidates have talked about solutions. I see nothing particularly positive about Ben Shapiro's show, or about failing to criticize Trump.
Failing to criticize Trump is, well, a huge failing. It's a necessity.

    That was cringe worthy.

Listening to her comments live, my interpretation was that she meant "total cost" as you described, not just tax cost.

It's a great point, but she needs to find a way to more clearly articulate it when asked in the future.

Castro's line was harsh, but his line of questioning leading up to it was fair.

I would argue that Beto did the GOP's job for them when he basically threatened to start Civil War II over AR-15's.

Agree but at the same time the moderators at all three debates now have desperately tried to bait both her and Bernie into give them a "we will raise middle class taxes" soundbite that will be a gift to the GOP. It's frustrating.
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

Yeah, which is why it's not something that can be explained in 75 seconds with 9 other people butting in. But sadly, this is how we've decided how to pick a candidate.

Didnt' take long for the nutty right to get back to him with a death threat via tweet...also making Beto's point for him.

He probably also killed any potential run for the Senate.

No reasonable person feels the need to own an AR-15. I was glad he said it.

While I admire his passion on this issue, Beto's idea is unworkable for many reasons, one of which being the imagery of white police officers kicking down doors in predominantly minority neighborhoods to forcefully confiscate assault weapons which may or may not be there.

Nothing could possibly go wrong with that plan, given how well police treat unarmed minorities these days.

In TEXAS? He's absolute toast, as far as state-wide office is concerned.

I was being polite. A year ago he almost beat Ted Cruz, but now he's actually got a better chance of being elected President.

    Re: 2020 Democratic Nomination

Joe Biden claims that going to M4A would hurt union workers who collectively bargained for health benefits in lieu of salary increases thus putting Bernie's two main pillars of policy against eachother.

Here comes GM to the rescue proving that Biden is full of it and Bernie is right.

    https://www.vox.com/2019/9/18/208721...ll-biden-union

GM has cut off health benefits to striking employees, shifting the cost to the workers — and in turn the union. UAW has offered striking members COBRA health care, which allows them to continue medical and prescription drugs coverage, but it doesn’t include dental, vision, hearing, and accident insurance.

The company had essentially spelled out Sanders’s counterargument for him. As employers use health care costs as a negotiation tactic, this kind of thing is bound to happen more. And for Sanders, it’s the perfect case for doing away with the current system.

“Under Medicare-for-all, whether you’re working, whether you’re not working, whether you go from one job to another job, it’s right there with you,” Sanders said at the event.
