I would think if a team put a napkin in front of him he would sign it.

Does the arbitration exchange deadline have any impact on a team signing him?

None since he was non-tendered. but if the team that signs him and keeps him in the majors they he will then be arbitration eligible for 2021.

I just have a feeling that he is going to have a comeback year with some team. The talent is still there even though his health hasnít been good. He is young!

He's 27. While that's not exactly old, it's not really young in baseball terms either.

I'll say that's not "exactly old." In baseball terms it seems to me to be still young enough for Bird to recover his skills. The only reason I wouldn't expect him to do so is not because of his age but because of his apparent fragility.

Speaking of Chris Davis: does anyone else find it in bad taste (or maybe just somewhat cruel) for Michael Kay, during every series with the O's, seems to find an opportunity to point out the gap between how awful Davis currently is and his salary?

His swing was broken when he was healthy the past couple seasons. Couldnít catch up to a ML (non-ST) fastball to save his life. He needs some real work to get it back if thatís not gone for sure. I wish him luck, but Iím not betting on him. And remember his success in the big leagues was essentially shorter than Voitís 2018 late season tear, so thereís no real telling how much of that was a hot streak vs. actual real level talent.

All of those leg injuries has really taken a toll on Bird. His base is all messed up which entails hurts his bat speed.

Me too. What a pity he couldn't stay healthy as a Yankee.

Maybe that hot Texas weather will keep him freer from injuries.
