I thought Poe Dameron’s character was utterly disrespected. He is this generation’s Buck Rogers so what did Rian do? have him shot/arrested by some lame female character who looked like she hasn’t dated since Lincoln became president so that they could push their SJW agenda. It didn’t make sense at all.

For the most part, I did enjoy the film. I thought Daisy is great as Rey. I enjoy strong, well written characters regardless of gender but that purple haired character was mediocre.

I bought my tickets a few days ago. They were already starting to sell out for opening weekend. It'll be fun.

Reviews are coming in and they are decidedly mixed which makes me sad. I don't want to go through another season of decisive Star Wars chatter.

Yeah, unfortunately it's not super surprising that a trilogy without a coherent plot or central story (and with 2 different writer/director types basically fighting back and forth over it) ended incoherently.

I say that somewhat unfairly as I havent seen it, and I'll see it at some point and make my own judgement, but it seemed like the direction it was going.

It's up there. I think Rogue One is an underrated movie that I would put up there too.

How have you had time for 3 viewings already?

A few weeks ago I bought tickets for tomorrow, but had to get a refund because they scheduled my kid's dance recital for the same time. I'm irritated.

I agree with you guys- Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars movie outside of the first 2 of the original trilogy. The opening sequence with the empire coming for Felicity Jones’ father is so good (as is much of the rest, including a great ending)

3 times? It was an OK action flick but I have no real desire to see it again. I imagine I'll see it again when it comes out on video.

I went on Christmas Eve and loved it. I'd like to go again, but not sure I'll get there.
