    2019 Gary Sanchez performance thread

Sanchez leads the majors with 4 errors already. He is on pace to have 130 errors.

    Punishment.....

Seriously his lack of concentration is an issue. Seems like between the ears to me. Time to get J-Rod to fix him pronto

This is so corny. Why do you bring up punishment? Yeah let's punish the guy by taking away his translator. I don't understand why it's even being brought up or where its coming from. Next time you fail at your job, we'll punish you by taking away your meal, that way you'll perform better. How do you like that?

i wonder if he has to fix his throwing mechanics after the surgery and hasn't figured it out yet - or more to the point, the coaches aren't being any help in his figuring it out. I don't feel like it's lack of concentration - it's too coincidental that it keeps being the same thing basically.

Because you know anything about what’s going on between his ears.

You can see every baseball game ever played and you still know nothing about what Gary Sánchez is thinking. No matter how much you watch, what’s inside his head remains inside his head.

One thing we do know he used to have have two catchers as coaches in giardi and Pena and they were not able to fix him. I have little faith boone will.

Despite watching him meltdown and not chase after passed balls a few times last year, and wear a look of "why me?" where he appeared to want to crawl underneath his own skin, this is the biggest concern of mine re: Sanchez.

Two bonafide coaches with substantial, well-recognized catching experience were run out of the organization with whispers re: Sanchez's comportment in response to their tutelage.

Sanchez has barreled the ball in each of his first three ABs today.

He's just 1-3, with the 1 being a HR to dead center.

Baloney, people who saw this game would know everything that's inside Gary Sanchez's head:

Actually, we know a great deal about what's in other heads: from their bodily behavior, verbal as well as other forms of behavior. Mothers are experts at this. Husbands and wives too.

Not from watching a baseball player on TV, or even in person.

Besides, mothers, husbands and wives misread an awful lot of cues.

That’s a fair point. Maybe people who watched this game, too.

No. They don’t. People who think they are smarter than they are assume they know what strangers are thinking. They don’t though.

He caught a great game yesterday. Paxton had no idea where his pitch was going.
