Of Maybin's almost 8500 innings in the OF, almost 7000 have been in CF.

Granted, Frazier has only played one game in CF in the majors, but in his almost 4800 innings in the OF in the minors, over 2700 have been in CF.

I don't see either of them needing to get familiar with the position.

So Monty activated off the 60 Day DL and Adams DFA?

Jeez, I don't know about Frazier--much as I like him at the plate--covering all that acreage in CF.

You have absolutely no idea about whether this is true or not. It's a trope of message boards. I've yet to see a reputable writer advance this idea.

Severino pitched reasonably well. Gave up a few hard hits and defense gave up 3 unearned runs out of 4 allowed. But he was hitting 97-98 and throwing well. next start probably in the Bronx. reinforcements on the way.

Pretty much has to be in the Bronx. Trenton's season will be over by Sunday.

That’s a solid 2 weeks of regular season play before post season. Stanton needs to play everyday to get his timing down

Sure hope this is nothing and he's able to come back. If this injury knocks him out, suddenly Stanton becomes a really critical piece of the puzzle.

Unfortunately they rarely are.. if a stitch or cramp then he should be fine.. but if any sort of strain, evn a mild one, time really against him to be back this year..

Edwin Encarnación felt his oblique issue early in the game, per Aaron Boone. He wasn't feeling it swinging, and the Yankees hope this is "minor." But, still, TBD.

Happ says he definitely wanted to pitch today, he’s dealt with similar issue in 2016 and pitched well during that period. Cortisone shot a possibility, he’ll see what Dr. Ahmad says.

    Re: 2019 Health/Injury Performance Thread

I recall Jim Kaat once saying he got 8 cortisone shots during one season to help him pitch.
