Actually, the nanny state should come to me for a while. Traveling is work, which is against the whole idea.

Went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. Would love to go back there, but timing and dollars haven't lined up.

Florida has been a great go-to spot for the family with DisneyWorld. Disney does a great job with customer-service and it shows in all facets.

We went to Wyoming (specifically Yellowstone) many years ago. Started in Denver and did a road trip to Yellowstone and back. Lots of miles of desolation between stops, but the destinations are entirely worth it. Got to take in the Grand Tetons.

Never been to Alaska which is why I have it ranked last. Would be great post-retirement, but we're not at that stage in the game yet.

I purposely omitted the Cape. It has been a great vacation for the us with the kids growing up. We hope to retire out there once all is said and done.

We stayed in Jackson (part of Jackson Hole). Went to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. So beautiful there.

I also was able to cross Idaho and Montana off my list of US States to get to in my life.

I'm really glad we went there, but I'm not sure I'd ever go back there.

Hawaii we took a cruise to 4 of the Islands (after staying three days in Honolulu).
Alaska we took a cruise up from Seattle (after staying 3 days in Seattle).

I've just been to California once. We flew to Las Vegas stayed 2 nights, hit the Grand Canyon, then over to San Diego. Stayed a couple of nights in SD then drove up the Pacific Coast to San Fran, where we stayed a couple of nights.

Florida.... been there many many many many many times. Had a retirement home there for several years. Still haven't retired. Sold the house when the market recovered a bit.

Still go down there 1 or 2 times a year. Not Disney tho. To evil.

Truro. Her family has a summer place there but coordinating when we can go is always interesting because she doesn't talk to her dad. Ever.

Alaska has long been high on the list of places I want to visit. I'll get there one day.

Maine is a dark horse in this race. We rented a place one week a few years ago. Late June, but still cool weather. Lot of quaint towns with a lot of shops. Lot of good restaurants too. Best Irish place I ever went to was in Wells.

    Hawaii I've been to twice
    Alaska several time
    Wyoming never
Lot of states I wouldn't mind visiting and a bunch with no desire to go to.
As for rankings I'm not really sure.
