I suspect after the midseason updates, if Deivi remains healthy and his usual self (or better) we'll start to see some more traffic/posting.
I think we all know what's really to blame.

Can't wait until we sign Dominguez. And if he is who we think he is, oh man, look out.

For no reason, other than to irritate myself, I go back every few months and see a name after Holder in that draft and say “aaargh, that guy.”

Today it is Austin Riley, 10 picks later and potentially at a position of need.

Gittens current ranks in the EL:

    AVG: 3rd
    OBP: 1st
    SLG: 3rd
    OPS: 1st
    wRC+: 1st
    BB: 1st
    HR: 3rd

And those 1sts in OBP, OPS, and wRC+ apply across the entirety of AA baseball.

What was his deal last year?

Also, every time I see his name, my mind flashes to this:

Cito Culver? Splitting hairs though. The deflating thing about these picks is that we knew they were going to bust as soon as they were taken. We didn't even get a year or two to dream on their potential.

Culver was awful, no doubt. But Holder was more insulting to me.

    Coley Harvey:

Among these Yankees injury updates from Tampa is this: "Estevan Florial, who fractured his wrist during spring training, has been added to the active extended spring training roster."

    Stowers homered twice and tripled.

I bet he'd be knocking on the door if it wasn't for this injury.

To me it's between Henry and Culver. Holder may be slightly over-drafted but his glove was well praised and all thought that it had already been major league level good. I could at least see the value from him. Henry and Culver were truly lottery tickets which I expect nothing in return from the beginning.

I think he was in #40-60 range in pre-draft prospect ranking. His glove was that good.

At least Henry had great potential. He just never realized it. Holder had great defense but I never thought that he would hit. Culver? WRgnfelrgnwseotbg oergob3egonoeigrnoe nrgonj eorg.

Still believe in Holder as a prospect and not upset at his selection.

Pretty quiet night on the farm. Decent little line for Rony Garcia:

    5.2
    4H, 1BB
    1 ER
    5K
    Don't have a clue

Parrish and Weedon in the early 2000s. They had some brutal top 10 draft picks in the early 2000s. Estee Harris, Jon Poterson, et all. High picks who in some cases, never made it out of A ball.

David Walling, John-Ford Griffin, the list goes on. It was brutal.
