Great power, ok hitter, meh defense, slow runner.

Add in Ks a lot and sounds like a Yankee to me! Lol

Right now as it stands I would love Lodolo and Manoah...Early yet, but both maintain velo it seems and both throw at a downward plane.

Pick 30. New York Yankees: Jack Leiter, RHP, Delbarton HS (NJ) (Commit: Vanderbilt)
Another prospect with good MLB bloodlines, Jack Leiter is the son of 19-year big-leaguer Al Leiter. Leiter has a strong four-pitch mix and knows what to do with all of his offerings. Hes not going to blow anyone away with his velocity but hes an intelligent pitcher, which says a lot for a high-schooler.

I like the arms...Jack has a commit to Vandy and Al wants him to go to college but it would be interesting if we selected him. Would he sign??

    30. New York Yankees: George Kirby, RHP, Elon

I've heard them with Henderson and also with Rece Hinds, who might have the most raw power in the draft and would fit with their past picks of Aaron Judge and Dante Bichette Jr. in this range of the draft. If Jack Leiter goes in the first round at all, my guess is here. http://www.espn.com/insider/mlb/stor...-mock-draft-10

Law said the names he has heard for the Yankees for the draft

    George Kirby SP Elon
    Gunnar Henderson SS HS
    Rece Hinds 3b HS
    Jack Leiter SP HS

Could see a HS pick at 30 followed by College picks

    30
    team logo YANKEES
    Pick: 3B Kody Hoese, Tulane

Few 2019 draft prospects have raised their stock as much as Hoese this spring. After hitting five home runs total and slugging .380 as a freshman and sophomore, Hoese went into the weekend tied with Bleday for the Division I lead with 21 home runs. Some mechanical adjustments -- long story short, Hoese became a launch angle guy -- contributed to a power breakout that dates back to summer ball last year. The added power hasn't led to an uptick in strikeouts --- Hoese went into the weekend with more homers (21) than strikeouts (20) -- and he projects to remain at third base long-term. My hunch is Hoese will be more of a middle of the first round candidate come draft day. He is climbing draft boards.

I should note the Yankees acquired a competitive balance pick (No. 38) from the Reds in the Sonny Gray trade, so they have a good-sized bonus pool, giving them a chance to do something big. Leiter, a local kid, could be on their radar here.

BAs new 6.0 Mock draft has us drafting Anthony Volpe ...Anthony Plays with Leiters son Jack. His SR sounds good but I would pass at 30 and 36 and go Pitching. Most feel a lot of the pitching available is on an equal plane this year. I go pitching heavy as well being the IFA class is top heavy in IF and OF prospects.

    30. Yankees: Gunnar Henderson, SS, Morgan Academy (Selma, Ala.)

One of the high school position players with the most helium right now, Henderson has played his way into the first round by getting faster and stronger and showing more power and defensive prowess at shortstop.

This kid is still growing, physically & basebally. We'd be real fortunate to find him still available by the 30th pick. At a minimum, barring debilitating injury of course, he's a really really good big league baseball player well into his 30's. His ceiling is higher than that! Please baseball gods, make him our 2019 1st round pick!!!
