Yankees were 1-6 on the road last year during the playoffs

Do you think they can overcome this? I know it's a different team but a lot of the faces are the same.

Last time out, Sevvy choked in the Wild Card Game. Sure, same faces, but we have to hope they learned something last year. Sevvy did. They had 47 regular season away wins, tied for third best in the AL with Oakland. Houston (57) and Boston (51) had more. Respectable. Last year they went 40-41 away, so that is quite an improvement. I'm hopeful.

All seven games were against 2 of the best other 3 teams in baseball (CLE/HOU along with LAD), but to put this in context, the rest of the league was 1-9 combined on the road, the only team to win a road game was HOU in the ALDS against BOS in game 4. HOU was 1-4, CLE were 0-2, BOS were 0-2, MIN was 0-1.

At the Stadium last night, they played some video narrated by Michael Kay, talking about last year's "magical October run."

I do not think it means what you think it means.

The Yankees throughout the regular season have a much better road record than they did last year. Id judge is hot, this team is going to be hard to beat

Hopefully the fact that they just played 3 in Fenway will help too. Maybe feel a little bit more comfy. Make no mistake though, its going to be bananas in Boston tonight.

Since you're using Judge as an example, we really need him to figure out a way to hit on the road. His splats are ridiculous.

Well have to hope that Giancarlo and Gary come alive in this series. Look to them. They both hit better away from Yankee Stadium.

The only road record I'm thinking about is this 2-game visit to Fenway. A split in Boston will give the Yanks a chance to win the series @ the Stadium.

Without looking up the numbers, I do recall both Stanton and Sanchez doing significant damage at Fenway.

I do not regard past history as a good indicator of the future.

Lol a sweep is not gonna happen. It's amazing the home teams keep on dominating in the playoffs. So far 4-1 with the sox more than likely making it 5.

    4-1 in a best of 5?

No I was talking about all the playoff games so far, including the wild card. The Rockies are the only road to team to win a game. The yanks won, the brewers won 2. The Dodgers won 1 and houston won so that's actually 5 home team wins already. Home teams are 5-1 in the 2018 playoffs.

I dont really disagree. But now in the playoffs home teams are 7-1. I know last year the home team dominated as well.
