Re: 2018 MLB Postseason Games Thread

The Braves discombobulated when neither Ozzie Albies nor Nick Markakis didn't grab Yasiel Puig's popup in the sixth inning that would've been the third out and David Freese came off the bench to deliver a two-run single.

It snowballed for the Braves since.

Posnanski: Are the 2018 Red Sox and Astros two of the best baseball teams of all time?

Solid article on what might be a series of a generation. Two all-time great teams battling for a chance at the World Series. Not since 1953 has two teams this dominant met (according to the article)

Putting the ball in play. You never know whatís going to happen. Sometimes it goes against the odds. We saw that last night in the NLCS when a ball hit by Chris Taylor bounced out of Cainís glove - a play he makes 99% of the time.

    Sale: 69 pitches in 3.
    Verlander: 33 pitches in 3.

Hahahahaha. Please get into that pen as soon as possible, Astros.

It's David Price tomorrow. Cole for Houston.

If David Price is due for a postseason win, I hope he gets it out of the way against the Astros so he can go on losing against the Yankees. But in that case ... I hope the Astros can hang on and win tonight.

Time and time again, Verlander is money.

Should have stepped on their neck when they had the chance. Looking like a Sox win now.

Where the hell was that Verlander last year...3 walks? Did he even throw a ball in the ALCS last year?

You just know that loss of command would've never happened against the Yankees.

Can Joe Kelly go back to being Joe Kelly? Who's he trying to fool?

Don't you know the Red Sox wear special deflector units under their batting helmets? When they're needed, they activate them, and presto, balls curve away from the strike zone.

Any run given by the Sox is a good thing, but Joe Kelly and Eduardo Nunez teaming up to do it makes it that little bit more pleasing.

I'm not entirely convinced Kelly didn't drill Bregman intentionally. That's why they all ran out there "D'oh he's injured!1"
