I'm just going to state that the Brewers were insane to ever retire their iconic ball in mitt logo.

That's the greatest logo in all of sports (well, maybe not as good as the Whalers, but whatever).

The batter is wearing it on his helmet right now.

Milwaukee and Boston must be the most fortunate teams in MLB this season.

    Curious as to your reasoning?

I think hands down the most fortunate team in MLB this year was the Cleveland Indians.

It just seems the breaks are going their way. But yeah, you can make a case for Cleveland given their division. They seemed totally outclassed.

[Bringing Josh Hader into a 4-0 game with one out in the 8th inning]

    "Stepping on the neck."

I like this move: recognizing a higher leverage situation just might not be there tomorrow.

I understand the Dodgers won’t get much support around here, but my wife is a Dodgers fan.

    Sooooo ...

I heard the crowd erupt from my TV so I rushed into the living room earlier to see what was going on. Turns out Kirk Gibson hit a homerun 30 years ago tonight.

Bellinger needs to stop swinging for the fences.

I am surprised Grandal was able to hit the batrack.

I was fine with the move. My question is: Why the hell are you pulling him after 2/3rds of an inning and 8 pitches to go to Jeffress who has already imploded this series? You've already got him in the game--let him finish it.

    That's something I don't get.

Hahahaha. Would've been amazing, and predictable, if he swung and missed.

That's a good question. I'd say that Frank Thomas said it best: "organized chaos."

If Hader blows it after coming out for a second inning, then you've potentially lost him until you get back to Milwaukee (if you get back home).

What are the odds that Hader blows a 4-run lead, though? Minuscule at best. They have 2 more games in LA, so doubt he'd miss both of them unless he threw a stupid amount of pitches. The good news is that he should be well ready to go tomorrow again, but that was a gamble pulling him.

I think Counsell went to Hader for the right reason (top of the order w/ PHs on the bench). That was the moment that represented the greatest urgency. Get the tablesetters out before the boppers come up.

He rolled the dice that Jeffress could take care of the 9th, and potentially be able to use Hader again tonight. I apologize - I mispoke when I said “if Hader blew it.” He wouldn’t have had to blow the game, he could’ve had to throw a 30 pitch 9th to close it out.

At the end of the day, Hader’s a unique weapon. But holy crap is it fun to watch a team utilize their best relief pitcher outside of the 9th inning.

So far, Eovaldi and Keuchul are looking human. Boston up 2-0, Stros threatening in the 1st.

    2-1. Still threatening.

Nunez reminds of a kid we had on our LL team that acted like he was hurt everytime he misplayed a ball - and even times when he made the play. That guy has so much drama.
