It was the way it was called. I looked at that replay many times.

I would've called it like this: 2-minutes for Cody Eakin for cross-checking and a five-minute major and a game misconduct on Paul Stastny for pummeling Joe Pavelski on the ice.

Still, with all those breaks, the San Jose Sharks still have to capitalized them which they did.

Yes the refs totally missed the hand pass but they were screened out and apparently it was not reviewable. That said the game would still have been tied, SJ may have won anyway, though the same could be said for STL.
It's actually four power play goals in that five minute major power play for Team Teal against the Vegas Golden Knights.

To Vegas' credit though, they forced overtime and even had their chances to win in the first overtime period before Barclay Goodrow scored the game and series winner.

Like I said, the next NHL Board of Governors' meeting will have a debate on reviewable plays.

The Boston Bruins book their first Stanley Cup Finals appearance since 2013.

Bruce Cassidy and the B's complete the four-game sweep over the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals, 4-0 in Game 4 inside Raleigh's PNC Arena to win the series, 4-0.

Boston's main line of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak scored all four goals with Bergeron scoring twice.

Tuukka Rask had a 24-save shutout as the B's end Carolina's Cinderella run.

Boston will await the winner of the Western Conference Finals series between the San Jose Sharks and the St. Louis Blues and will have home ice in the Stanley Cup Finals since they have more points than both the Sharks and Blues.

As far as Wedensday's game you are right. The right call and the Sharks still could of won. But that Vegas game. I think it is extremely unlikely Sharks win that game if not for the phantom major penalty. Funny how 2 seasons back the Isles had a regular season game against the Wings that mirrored the Vegas game. Down 4 goals late in the game Wings were called for a major and the Isles scored 5 PP goals to take the lead. Wings tied it in the last minute and the Isles won in OT.

Well, the St. Louis Blues bounced back after their heartbreak in Game 3 to force a Best-of-Three in the Western Conference Finals.

The Blues held off the San Jose Sharks, 2-1 in Game 4 to even the series at 2 a piece heading back to San Jose's SAP Center on Sunday.

Ivan Barbashev scored his first goal of the playoffs 35 seconds into the game to give St. Louis a 1-0 lead.

Tyler Bozak made it 2-0 on the power play at 17:53 for his fourth of the playoffs.

After a scoreless second period, the Sharks finally got on the board as Tomas Hertl scored his 10th of the playoffs at 6:48 of the third period to cut the deficit to one.

However, Jordan Binnington stymied the Sharks with 29 saves as the Blues win Game 4.

Meanwhile in the 2019 IIHF World Championships, Finland, Canada, Germany, Russia, Switzerland and the Czech Republic clinched spots to the Quarterfinals.

The United States has a 11-9 edge over Slovakia with a game in-hand in Group A despite Slovakia's head-to-head edge over the Americans.

The United States need at least two points in those final two games against Germany and Canada to advance to the QFs while Slovakia needs to beat Denmark in regulation/overtime/shootout and hope that the Americans don't get two points or more.

In Group B, Sweden and Latvia for the fourth and final QF spot with Sweden having a 12-6 edge in points.

Both Sweden and Latvia have two games remaining including their head-to-head clash on May 20.

If Sweden gets a point in their head-to-head game against Latvia, they're in.

Latvia needs to beat both Sweden and Norway in regulation and hope that Sweden doesn't get a point in their final two games to make the last eight.

The San Jose Sharks are a perfect 4-0 in this Stanley Cup playoffs when facing elimination.

Peter DeBoer in Team Teal have their backs against the wall again after suffering a 5-0 home whitewash to the St. Louis Blues in Game 5.

The Blues lead the Best-of-Seven Western Conference Finals series, 3-2.

Jaden Schwartz scored a hat trick to take his Stanley Cup playoff tally to 12 goals.

Vladimir Tarasenko added a goal and assist and Jordan Binnington had a 21-save shutout as the Blues have a chance to close it out inside Enterprise Center on Tuesday.

If the Sharks win Game 6, Game 7 back in San Jose on Thursday.
