Re: Let's Go Islanders! 2018-2019!
Huh? Lamoriello is a proven winner anywhere he’s been. Snow couldn’t carry his jock strap. After 25 years of futility between Milbury and Snow, Lamoriello is like Jesus Christ, Toe Blake and Scotty Bowman all rolled into one.
I do agree, however, that Tavares leaving will be a blessing in the long run."Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever." - Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)

Jesus, he didn’t just give Hickey a 4-year deal, did he?

Staple says Tavares has informed the Isles he won’t be back with them.

Re: Let's Go Islanders! 2018-2019!
OMG. I didn't realize that dumb people could actually become dumber.
Lou is a future hall of famer. Lamoriello's tenure as general manager of the New Jersey Devils from 1987 to 2015 was the third-longest by an NHL general manager with a single team, following those of Conn Smythe and Art Ross.
Under Lamoriello's management, the Devils, who had been barely competitive for their first five years in New Jersey, became one of the most successful teams in the NHL. The Devils made the Stanley Cup playoffs all but three times between 1988 and 2012, qualified for five Stanley Cup Finals (in 1995, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2012) and won the Stanley Cup three times (in 1995, 2000 and 2003).[1] Lamoriello also served as general manager for Team USA in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey, in which the U.S. won the gold medal,
Lou is already in the US Hockey hall of fame. One day he will be in the one in Toronto as well. The guy is simply the best GM ever from the USA.[

Robin Lehner signed to a 1-yr deal and Matt Martin coming back in a trade for Eamon Mc Adam.
Apparently we’re just going to roll a bunch of 4th lines.

I love, love, LOVE this idea. This is true genius. I still remember Game 1 of the 1981 semis when Butchie singlehandedly kept the entire Ranger team bottled deep in their own end for at least 30 seconds on a power play. It's my biggest lasting memory of Butch (that and his little junior hockey helmet).
Totally do this.

Isles start the season with an OT win. Greiss was the star in net tonight.
