Huh? Lamoriello is a proven winner anywhere heís been. Snow couldnít carry his jock strap. After 25 years of futility between Milbury and Snow, Lamoriello is like Jesus Christ, Toe Blake and Scotty Bowman all rolled into one.

I do agree, however, that Tavares leaving will be a blessing in the long run.

I have pretty much moved on. Will be great if Wahlstrom makes the team, gets 50 goals and the Isles go farther in the playoffs then the team Tavares ends up going to.

Lou left NJ a mess and was merely a figurehead in Toronto. Heís completely out of touch with todayís game.

Tavares has already posted a stupid Thank you to the fans. Sounds like Toronto was always going to be his destination. After begging Snow at the deadline not to trade him.

Iím down with that. Tavares is dead to me. All this B.S. about wanting to remain with the Islanders and asking Snow not to trade him shows what a phony he is. Basically sabotaged this organization. Screw him.

Looks like Toronto was his intention all along. Could live with that had he just told Snow back in February and alowed him to be traded at the deadline.

OMG. I didn't realize that dumb people could actually become dumber.

Lou is a future hall of famer. Lamoriello's tenure as general manager of the New Jersey Devils from 1987 to 2015 was the third-longest by an NHL general manager with a single team, following those of Conn Smythe and Art Ross.

Under Lamoriello's management, the Devils, who had been barely competitive for their first five years in New Jersey, became one of the most successful teams in the NHL. The Devils made the Stanley Cup playoffs all but three times between 1988 and 2012, qualified for five Stanley Cup Finals (in 1995, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2012) and won the Stanley Cup three times (in 1995, 2000 and 2003).[1] Lamoriello also served as general manager for Team USA in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey, in which the U.S. won the gold medal,

Lou is already in the US Hockey hall of fame. One day he will be in the one in Toronto as well. The guy is simply the best GM ever from the USA.

They look like reflex moves to losing Tavares.
Leo was an overpay. No likely.

Robin Lehner signed to a 1-yr deal and Matt Martin coming back in a trade for Eamon Mc Adam.

Apparently weíre just going to roll a bunch of 4th lines.

I love, love, LOVE this idea. This is true genius. I still remember Game 1 of the 1981 semis when Butchie singlehandedly kept the entire Ranger team bottled deep in their own end for at least 30 seconds on a power play. It's my biggest lasting memory of Butch (that and his little junior hockey helmet).

    Totally do this.

There is a god. Undersized defensemen who make tons of mistakes (Lightning series a few years ago anyone?) aren't my thing but others' mileage may vary.

He did seem a little overvalued in this market.
