That's what they should have done. At least the Knicks was smart enough.

They'e going to end up between 6-9 cause they have just enough vets to not be terrible. They do have Lundqvist and the teams at the bottom don't, but if they were smart they would sit him a bit more. Strategically, sit him against the bad/mediocre team, who he can steal a win against. Play him against the very good/top teams.

    I understand how it works.

Still, picking up loser points does not help if you want a high pick. Not just Hughes. Have to at least put yourself in position, if you want a chance.

LOL. Testing the knowledge of the board. Want to see if the same people who cheered
Messier picking McIlrath over Cam Fowler know about the upcoming draft.

Doesn't matter where the Rangers pick next draft, they'll screw it up.

Well in your case, knowledge would be required to be tested for.

Also: Pavel Zacha over Provorov, Werenski and Rantanen followed up by Michael McLeod over McAvoy and Chychrun. Your boys have missed pretty big recently.

Looking forward to watching Jack play tonight at 6:30pm on the NHL network.

Not really looking to see if he can dominate, because he is up against the best in the world.
Just looking to see how his skill set does against the top players. Should be fun.

    Another loser point.

Always fun to see Kreider excel against Tortorella though.

Would you be open to giving Hank the Ray Bourque treatment this deadline? Could he bring the Flames a Cup?

Rick Nash (big di*k Rick to some, Na$h to others) announced his retirement today due to "the risk of further brain injury is far to great" if he returns to the game.

He was always one of the most exciting players to watch and got a fair amount of sh*t from people because he didn't score as much as we'd like him to or when we'd like him to. From all reports he seems like a genuinely good guy and teammate and it's sad to see his career end earlier than it probably should have but I totally understand and respect him doing what's best for his family. If the Blue Jackets are smart they'll hire him as a consultant or something and retire his number next year.

    Not enough kids imo.

I enjoy watching the Knicks a little bit more cause of that.

Tonight at the Garden there's a 25 year reunion of the 94 Cup team. I can't believe it's been 25 years. It was a magical run and 8th grade me loved every second of it, but now looking back it was really Richter, Leetch and a bunch of Oilers castoff/mercenaries. That's why even though it ended badly 2014 is still my favorite all time Rangers season.

Either way, it'll be fun tonight and Hank is wearing a Richter tribute mask.

Very nice reunion on Friday, but why wasn't the Cup there?

Also, it's the most NY Rangers thing ever to have that then get shut out at home.

Na$h seems like a really good guy on and off the ice. He just wasn't worth all
the money the Rangers paid him. Nothing personal with Rick. But off the ice, you've got to love the guy.

So Zucc is off to Dallas (?) for some draft picks. Hays is probably gone by this afternoon.

I know it's for the best, but I still really feel bad for Hank. At what point should they think of pulling a Bourque and trading him somewhere where he can win a Cup because it's not going to happen in NY.

They would've traded him last year but he wanted to stay, and has a no trade clause. I'm sure he continues to be the one in the way of a trade, not the team.

As for Zucc, now he's out for a month with an arm injury. Could make those conditions in the draft picks a bit less likely to materialize.

Hayes to Winnipeg for a 1st round pick, Brendan Lemieux (Claude's son), and a conditional 4th round pick if they win the Cup.

I hate these late deadline trades. They couldn't get this deal a few months ago? At least they would have less points.
