Arb eligible next year and likely a free agent in 2021. In other words, heíll be gone by the time they are competitive again so they might as well get a haul for him now if they can.

Absolutely ridiculous now that the Orioles gave up on their DFA trading window and released him. Shane Robinson AGAIN today? Really?

Itís Friday and Shane Robinson is still on this team. Time to ask again why hasnít Cashman signed Danny Valencia?

He's too busy phoning Bill Madden to write an article on how none of this is his fault.

So true my friend, I came here today hoping someone like Valencia or Grandy were picked up. I just do not get it. Virtually anyone who played in the major league this year would be better than Robinson. (not personal- strictly business)

Can you image if Pearce were playing right all this time? RS got him for a can of beans.
Standings: Big Inning 32-16; Blue Cut 27-21; Shoo Fly 26-22; Husk 22-26; Frank Pierce 21-27; Iowa City 16-32.

Cashman has generally done a real nice job. And 98% of the time, GMs such as him (baseball men) know more than stupid fans like myself.

But this is one of those occasions where the fans know as much as Cashman. And his refusal to make the obvious move (Granderson, Valencia, etc. over Shane Robinson) can only be explained by the fact that his ego is out of control. and he wants to try to prove that he is the smartest baseball person that ever lived, and will do so at the expense of hurting the team.

Sometimes these guys forget that salary level does not always correlate with significance of achievement or intelligence level. Unlike engineering, medicine, or education/sociology issues, baseball is not all that complicated to figure out, as much as guys like Cashman try to convince people that it is. Anyone who has watched more than 5 baseball games in their lives knows that Shane Robinson is not a major league player. Yet, he is playing regularly during a pennant chase instead of signing a guy like Granderson or Valencia, for whom it would be IMPOSSIBLE to perform worse than Shane Robinson.

He dug this hole, the fact he is so reluctant to get himself out of it is a little baffling to say the least. At least theyíre playing Walker in RF and have Toe as a capable bench player.
