He was the second Yankee DFAed. Last year it took almost two months later until June 10 for the Yankees to DFA two players. In 2016, Ike Davis was the second DFA on June 25. 2015 was like this year with DFAs on April 12 and 13, and 2014 had DFAs on April 18 and 20.

He had his first two outfield assists for the Yankees today. It was the third time the Yankees had 2 outfield assists. The previous times were Gardner in left and Hicks in center on May 12 and two by Judge in right on May 25. The Yankees have 21 outfield assists, with 8 from left, 3 from center, and 8 from right.

You can't get an OF assist if you catch the ball. Shane Robinson is a genius.

It's not the worst thing that he's on the team right now as a temporary place holder, but he shouldn't be in the lineup except for an emergency or in the case of a blow out.

Placing him in the starting lineup is just plain dumb.

Come on now, do you actually expect Stanton to play RF 2 days in a row after an off day? Thatís just crazy talk.

Not true. Catch a fly ball and throw the runner out at the plate, for example.

Boone only rests players after they have a big game. Shane may never

IMO the fact that a player who would be hard pressed to earn a roster spot on the Somerset Patriots (I'm being serious) is getting this many reps for the Yankees during a playoff push is a major failure on the part of Cashman.
