    Machado is staying in L.A. When they got him, I'm sure that their intent was to pay him whatever it takes to remain there. Why would he want to go elsewhere?

    Don't forget, Dodgers already have a young stud SS.

    They have a young proven elite SS who would return next season. I'm sure the Dodgers want to keep him, but at third. Machado doesn't pick the Dodgers. He would go elsewhere when other teams outbid the Dodgers.

    They have Turner at 3rd and Seager at SS, Machado was always a rental for them.

    Turner would be 34 next season. He would not be the reason of blocking the signing of Machado if Machado is willing to play third for the Dodgers long term.

    He is their team MVP and signed through 2020 at $19.5M per for the next two seasons, I would be stunned if Machado signs with the Dodgers.

    Miguel Andujar 24 Games since ASG with AL Ranks BA .348 (3rd in AL) HR 6 RBI 19 (T-8th) R 17 (T-10th) SLG .609 (10th)
    @JamesSmyth621

    Stanton's also been great lately, but Andujar is another guy picking up the slack while Judge is out.
    Yankees averaged 5.19 runs per game through July 26 (Judge HBP), and 5.17 since.
    @JamesSmyth621

    I went down a Baseball Savant rabbit hole looking at Miguel Andujar hitting pitches inside/outside of the zone BA/SLG Inside .324 .614 Outside .216 .259 Outside production still better than most, but imagine once he gets more experience/discipline?

    Right now Andujar has to be the rookie of the year. He just keeps producing. Another two doubles yesterday...

    In tonight’s Rays blowout, Andujar smacked HR #19.

    Win or lose. Success or failure. At least Andujar gives 100% effort every game....

    Quote: The Yankees simply must do a better job hitting with the bases loaded and with runners in scoring position.

    Me: Between today and the end of the regular season, pitching coach Marcus Thames under the watchful eyes of Manager Aaron Boone must radically improved the above two glaring deficiencies or the team will be shut down in the one-game Oct. 3 Wild Card game.

    The hitters must relax more at the plate and try to make solid contact and not dream of a grand slam.

    CC Sabathia didnĺt enjoy his first few years in the majors because he got hassled by veterans. He vowed to change that clubhouse culture someday. A look at the environment that has allowed Yankees rookies Miguel And˙jar and Gleyber Torres to thrive:

    Unfortunately for Torres, he has hit a brick wall.

    Would love to know what the Yankees defensive metrics say about him. Like the difference in run creation/prevention between his offense and defense.
