Yeah, I would much rather have the Astros at home in a short series than them having home field advantage like last year.

Clint leading off and playing CF? Wow. Thats different.

Gary needed the day off after a night game and that is understandable.

Walker really makes little sense on this club. They keep platooning him on his weaker side.

I can only imagine he's on the club until they can find a trade partner. If they can't find a trade partner then he'll be DFA'd when they call up Drury when his mL service time requirements have been met.

I agree. I think they like his versatility as a infielder and switch hitting, but that only can get you so far. If Drury keeps raking, he needs to come up.

Me, too. I hope he doesn't try to do too much though - I've been very pleased with how within himself he's stayed at the plate in his handful of games so far despite it being an obvious opportunity to hit a 5-run HR in order to try and stay up here.

I guess pitching once in 22 days too much of a strain.

Well, I was wondering when Cashman was going to play games with the 10 day DL.

Clint hasn't hit the ball hard since coming up (SSS).

    https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/statc..._pas=0#results

His double yesterday was 76.5mph and his line out to Mitch Haniger was 90.4mph.

If I recall he had the same type of exit velo start last year. That memorable HR he hit against the Astros in his debut was super weak, I think. After a handful of games he started to show the 100+ stuff.

I could be remembering wrong, though.

Boone said that A.J. Cole pinched a nerve in his neck while playing catch yesterday. They think hell be down 2-4 days but wanted the bullpen coverage in Luis Cessa, who had been scheduled to make a Minor League start today.

Ill be honest, I almost turned off the game last night down 5-0 to watch a movie. But I kept saying, "If they get Shreve off the bump and can knock Felix out of the game, they can make this interesting still..." Sure enough, they did just that.

How about Holder? He has been unreal! Any news on Kahnle getting back here?
Kahnle is throwing better. I don't see a legit reason he's not here in place of Shreve. He shouldn't be here just because he's a lefty. Outs are outs, and Kahnlenis much more adept at getting them.

So I took the top 15 SPs in fangraphs (minus Jon Gray because of the gap in ERA/FIP) and checked the xwOBA.of opposing hitters for the last 3 years.

So essentially trying to figure out what hitters have done the best against the games best SPs:

Donaldson I think is a real nice target if his medicals check out next season. Buy low guy.
