So no Sanchez and Didi back in the third spot. Have no idea why as far as Didi is concerned.

Not sure how much longer you can bat Didi 3rd.

Shancez is nursing a calf issue. Should be fine by Friday.

Gary Sanchez is 2nd-worst in MLB in Blocking Runs this year (-2.1, only Narvaez worse at -2.5)
But his 36% career CS ranks 7th in MLB since 2016, and by linear weights, every 2 CS cancels out 3 PB/WP
Also above-average framer, which saves more runs than the other 2 skills anyway

Good question. In other words - if the Yanks are up 15-2 in the 8th, you pull Sanchez for Toe to see what he can do and you'd still have Romine on your bench in case of a catastrophe.

Another reason why the personal catcher issue is troubling. Sometimes, guys need a day off that is unscheduled...now, we lose maximum value from that position twice this week.

What's more troubling is getting Gray straighten out and that's what they're trying to do here.
God, I love Yankee fans as they're never satisfied!

Fine. So why not bring up Higgy for one game to back up Romine. Is it so important to bring up another pitcher with an off day tomorrow?

Unfortunately, in the vast "unwritten rules" book, this would likely be seen as rubbing it in. Like that incident in the 1980s where the Rangers were whupping the Yankees one night and the Yankees put Rick Cerone in to pitch the last inning, and Bobby Valentine thought it would be cute to send pitcher Bobby Witt up to bat against him. The Yankees were pretty incensed about that.

You'd probably get less static doing it when way behind.

Nothing gets this team fired up more than complaints about the lineup. Good work so far

We should not complain about the lineup.
Never question the manager, or the GM or the Owners or their friends.
    We should not disagree.
We should all agree all the time.
We should all be very happy at all times
    Happy happy Joy joy.
    Yay Yankees.
    High Five.
