I really wanted to be wrong but this was so predictable. Walker not in the lineup tonight but guess who is?

    Are you serious? Wow

And Stanton has to be hurting playing DH again tonight. Something is off. Robinson is unimpressive in the batters box and the field.

"Unimpressive" is an understatement. He has a 49 OPS+. That is horrific for a corner OF'er. I mean it's horrific for any position but especially RF.

Having Robinson at the bottom of the order makes it feel kinda like an NL lineup. I'd almost rather have Tanaka hitting 9th.

Giancarlo Stanton is still dealing with a hamstring issue. Has been for nearly a week now, hence Robinson in RF a lot

Before All Star Break: Keep playing Walker, even though he isn't hitting.

Walker is hitting .340 since the All Star Break. YES .340....better bench him

Walker gas already played 3 innings in RF this season - he likely would not cost us the game out there. If you are really worried about his defense in the OF, then swap he and Gardner based on the batter. Wreaks havoc on the scorebook, but what the heck.

The only thing I can come up with is that Cashman does not want to add anyone else from the minors to the 40-man roster. He certainly is willing to let Shane Robinson depart when he needs to replace him on the roster, but there are other choices at SWB (McBroom, Payton or Zehner, for example) than Robinson.

I would rather see Walker or Torreyes in right at this time,

In an epic battle, Yankee ace Luis Severino and Red Sox ace Chris Sale will exchange zeroes over eight innings.

In the bottom of the 9th, light hitting utility infielder Ronald Torreyes, who replaced Miguel Andujar at 3B after Andujar was thrown out in his last AB for arguing balls and strikes, tomahawks a Craig Kimbrel pitch into LF off the foul pole, winning the game and becoming the third Yankee with a new middle name for Red Sox fans.

Can't we blow them out 12-0. I don't think my heart could take that scenario.

With the roster as is, and the hammy of the Stanton... Robinson in the lineup is microscopically justifiable.

Batting Luke Voit 6th, though... That is insanity.

Of course, as is always seems to be, the issue is the 40 man roster.

If these were the days of Joe Torre, I would say he was sending Cashman one of his notorious "hints." But this is actually coming from Cashman.

That's what I heard, that it hasn't healed yet, but it didn't say how long he'll miss.

Was the initial prognosis wrong, or is it just not healing the way it should ?

    You are absolutely correct.

Are there any fans left that think they are doing the right things anymore?

Its like they huddle up every morning over a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and agree on what would confuse the fan base the most today. Voit 6th? Wow.

Mike Trout hits the DL with right wrist inflammation, all but ensuring a Red Sox player will win the MVP now. Although I guess there is still Jose Ramirez.

I actually thought of that, too. Enrique Wilson being inserted into the OF because Torre wanted another OFer.

Oh well, that's some 4th OFer Brian has on his team. (I remained baffled. Now he's just being stubborn)

Just put Walker in RF. Robinson not only cant hit but is awful defensively. Its not like Walker has to be some great defender out there to be more competent then Robinson.

Cashman is a joke if he simply is ok with Robinson playing everyday until Judge gets back. Which could be for another month+
