    Judge

Eight RHH, with only Didi as a LHH. Once he batted, the lineup went eight RHH before a LHH.
    This, thank you.

    Re: 2018 Regular Season Thread

For the guys wondering why Gardner is leading off. I don't remember the exact numbers and don't feel like looking again, but I remember being surprised that Gardner had the most success Vs Happ of any player on the team, lefty or righty.

So I wouldn't read too much into this for the season as a whole. I think its just an anomaly, a case of a lefty whose had lots of success against a particular lefty. Thats why I actually predicted at the time that Gardner would be the leadoff hitter on opening day, when it was announced Happ was the starter for the Blue Jays.

Wow that's a pile up of SO up top.

Surprised Didi dropped down that far, but what can you do...

    QUESTION

Which Yankee will hit the first HR in the 2018 Season, presumably/hopefully in the opener?

    I'll say Aaron Judge.

    What say you?

Irrelevant. Your best players should be getting the most at bats. Didi is not better than Sanchez. I'm pretty sure Gary will knock in enough runs in the 4 spot.

I attended my first game on May 8, 1968. Yanks beat Cleveland 2-1. Jake Gibbs knocks in Andy Kosco for the winning run in the bottom of the 9th. Joe Verbanic gets the win. I feel older.
