now I see the confusion. I coach a girls fast pitch softball team primarily 13 & 14 year olds. Alas there is no keg on 2nd base.

Sunday night is my old man slow pitch league but despite the great weather now that doesn't start til mid march. And beer definitely follows and often proceeds those games.

Full disclosure - I was just just bustin'

At my worst my playing schedule was as follows:
    Tues: Windmill fast pitch
    Wed: Unlimited Arc slo pitch
    Thurs: Windmill fast pitch
Sat / Sun: Double headers of either straight Modified, or slingshot modified (brutal)......

The last few years has been slo pitch 1 x a week, since I coach an AAU baseball team.

I might dive back into baseball myself this year if it works out.

71 degrees here in downtown Boondocks. Snowpack has vanished. This cold/warm winter pattern has been around for at least 15 years now.

Official high today was 73, the second highest winter temperature ever recorded here since records began in 1870. Anybody else with records temps today?

I saw a 74 degrees according to my car. Neither official nor accurate but it was warm today. I half expected to hear the peepers peeping away tonight because it felt so much like Spring.

On walk on a walkway everyday during the winter with a buddy of mine. Normally there's like a dozen people or so. Today it seemed like there were a couple hundred out there. The baby stroller mom brigade was out in full force. Tomorrow they'll be nowhere to be seen. Such is the fickle nature of winter relief.

Even if itís over Iíll take it. I had a lull at work this afternoon sonInwent outside with my lap top and sat there taking care of emails. It was very relaxing.

Well, my house is one of the thousands in NJ without power. I'm happily in Brazil at 85 degrees and sunny, but I get to think about my toilets getting ready to freeze. My fancy new generator is not much help as there is no one capable of starting it up. JCP&L says they will restore at 6pm, which should save the day before things get too cold. Fingers crossed.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ óMore than 4,000 people are still in the dark following the since Friday's nor'easter.

The majority of those without power are in Basking Ridge and Bernardsville with more than 1,000 customers each, according to JCP&L. Power is projected to be restored by Tuesday night but some areas may not be restored until Wednesday night.
Glad I bailed on this craptastic winter. JCP&L has been jerking me around, changing restore time again and again, and now it looks like not until Wednesday. Third-world stuff.

Kudos to oldest son who drove up from Philly on Sunday to drain pipes and pour gasoline in the toilets (RV anti-freeze all sold out.) That house survived all WWII with no heat so it should be ok.

Another 6 to 12 inches of heavy, wet snow forecast here on Wednesday. Glad we're into March; I'm ready for spring.

I'm getting the best of this storm. We'll be getting a trace of snow if the forecasts hold, but I get to work from home because my employer will be getting 6+" of snow. No commute, no shoveling.
