The first time I was in Alaska was in June. My wife loved it so much that she said she would like to see Alaska in the Winter. A year and a half later we booked a trip to Chena Hot Springs (north east of Fairbanks. We did all the winter things, snowcatting, watching the Northern lights at 1 AM, taking a single engine, small plane ride over the artic circle, dog sledding, etc.

We did it again a decade later. I've been to Alaska about two dozen times almost all in the June to August period.

Where in Alaska are you going? If you can, include Denali.

You'll love this trip. If you have never been to Alaska before this trip will draw you back again and again. Denali is never to be forgotten. Anchorage is a beautiful city. All over town you will see huge hanging baskets of colorful flowers and you might even see a Salmon Fishing tournament on the Ships Creek river.

    Have fun

The day after Christmas I threw a bag of ice cubes out on my back porch because I didn't room for it the freezer. It hasn't melted at all.

I went on a cruise once and it rained every single day. Not drizzle, downpour rain.
Each day the cheery cruise director would come on the speaker system in the morning and say there was looking like a break in the weather, sun was coming. Each day it poured rain. Each evening the cruise director would come on the speaker system and say that tomorrow was looking a lot better. It never was.

This is like that. Each day the weather people say it's going to get warmer tomorrow. That we'll break the freezing mark.

Well, the ice cubes on Muggs' back porch say otherwise.

Tomorrow is the big day - Groundhog Day!

I'll be so excited that I will not be able to sleep tonight. I have to find my top hat today.

I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl. We ate lobster, drank pina coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters.

I hate groundhogs. We have a colony here that we (me, my brother and my father going back 80 years) have been trying to eradicate. They are virtually impossible to kill. We have attempted guns, poison gas, broken glass in the tunnel entrances, and traps. Their tunnel network is vast and their instincts are finally honed. They like to emerge from their holes and laugh at me after a failed attempt. I think our kill total is four over eighty years.

    My hate knows no limits.

Same here. It's quite a sh*thole. Anyone visiting expecting to see a town resembling the movie will be severely disappointed.
