I want to be the first to point out that his name unscrambles to "Bleak Rot," though, so don't get your hopes up.

Sweet. Do you have the actual average FB velocity of the outing?

Gleyber Torres is not being called up by the #Yankees...yet. He was pulled earlier from Triple-A game after feeling a little stiff, sources tell @JonHeyman and me.

At this point might as well give him a shot. DFA Peterson or move someone to the 60-day DL *cough* Ellsbury *cough*

Overshadowed by Torres, Avelino is having a nice start to the season.
.835 OPS coming into today, 2-2 so far.

Always loved Abi's skillset but he's never put it all together for a full season. This is the reason he's overshadowed forme -- and rightfully so.

I'm skeptical he'll ever be able to be consistent offensively but there's no doubt about his start. Hot fire. Deserves some props, fo sho

Estrada playing in his first game tonight for Tampa. I wonder if Abreu is right behind him?

Yankees RHP Trevor Stephan: athletic build, sets up 1B side, starts closed, throws across body, short arm at 3/4 slot. Mainly FB/SL. FB sits 94 touches 96. SL 78-80. Thrown with confidence and in all counts. Likes to front door SL. Saw 1 CH at 86 so far through 4 IP. Has 7 K

#Yankees RHP Prospect Trevor Stephan is tough on RHH. FB 93-94 from a 3/4 slot, sweeping SL at 77-81

So which pitchers do you have as keepers, just Abreu of the guys in AA/AAA?

Genuine question, to me Sheffield is clearly our best high level pitching prospect right now, plus a very rare lefty amidst all our stud righty SP prospects

I think our SP talent depth in the upper levels is pretty weak.

Sheffield at 21 years of age has a lot of potential, but needs to improve his command.

Re: 2018 Yankees Minor League News & Notes

Yeah, I like Sheffield, Abreu, Tate, Acevedo and even Adams, roughly in that order. Of course none of them are sure things, but few pitching prospects are.
