RHP Dillon Tate has been removed from the Double-A Eastern League All-Star Game due to injury, the league announced. That’s not good. No idea what’s wrong with him. Hopefully it’s something minor and Tate will get back on the mound soon. This could have trade deadline ramifications.

It's All About Schmidt (see what I did there).

Florial exhibiting some degree of plate discipline, which I suppose is encouraging. Then again who knows what the quality of these arms is, recent draft picks or no.

On another note-anyone else have a difficult time distinguishing all of these Latin American prospects? I recognize like four-five names between the DSL, both GCL teams and Pulaski. The pitchers especially confuse me. It would be great if we had some kind of tracker set up by year......

What's the story with 3B Jose Villa? With 2 hits in his first 2 ab's today he's now hitting .456 (26 for 57) on the season with the GCL East team. Any scouting reports on him?

Just keep scouting and dumping money into that department. It's really paying off nicely. I almost wish we weren't good and could sell more off ahaha, well not really but I hope we can continue to make smart moves. Block buster and little ones.

For sure that will happen in due time. However, they probably want him to get a specific number of games/PA in before that happens. At this time, they are easing him back into teh swing of things.
