No Gley today in AAA. With the way Walker and Wade look, I wouldn't blame them.

Some notes from Trenton, including Jay Bells comments on Acevedo's velocity.

I hope they both work out!
    Fair response. Can't argue this.

To be fair we ranked Park at #43 and Katoh at #69 on our top 75 list.

There was some debate about Katoh. Many of us wanted to take a wait and see approach because of how he regressed after his great first season.

You're probably right. He's eligible to come up on Friday, right? Gotta imagine he's not long for AAA either way with how Wade and Andujar are hacking.

Southpaw Josh Rogers is having a good outing: 5IP, 3H, ER, 0BB, 8K.

    Final line: 7IP, 3H, ER, 0BB, 10K.

Want to see Ford in the majors so much.

Josh Rogers has always had really good numbers. Probably another Yankee pitching false flag.

Rogers has pretty good pedigree, so maybe not. He was a DES in 2015 who got 4th round money ($485K) to sign after being selected in the 11th. Scouts really liked him at Louisville and he posted good results there.

I think his stuff puts him as a potential AAAA type. There's not a lot of guys throwing high 80s in the majors. Maybe rpimpsner has some more recent readings from him.

Third straight game at 3B for Gleyber Torres. Only played 2B for one game early on. Drury isn't really injured and it doesn't appear out long term. So I'm thinking Drury maybe at 2B when he gets back.

Well they probably don't know when Drury will get back, so they want Gleyber to play there in the short-term. Andj going back down.

I think when/if Drury returns, Gley will get shifted to 2B.

Starting to get the feeling that Torres is going to force his way into the big leagues shortly.

Re: 2018 Yankees Minor League News & Notes

Also Nick Nelson had 12 Ks in 5 innings, that is pretty rare at any professional level.

Zack Zehner went from a .629 OPS to a .910 OPS tonight after his 4-5 with a 2B and HR, gotta love early season stats.
