Re: Walking Dead season 8
Hey if it's not for you it isn't for you. I don't get the hate watch though. There is so much good television on now, way too much for me to keep up and I know I'm missing out on shows I had planned to watch. Hate watching is just a waste of time. If I'm done with a show I'm done. Doesn't make sense. I get John, because I know he actually wants to like it. He's also a comic reader. (not sure who else around here is) Alex has been bashing it non stop for at least two seasons. That's a long time spent watching a show you cannot stand when there are sooooo many more options.

I think perhaps in life, you’re the 0 to my 1. We pretty much have the exact opposite opinions and stances and preferences on nearly everything. It makes me wonder if you’re actually a secret Red Sox fan posing as a Yankees fan on this board.
It’s all good though. We all have doppelgängers and we all have 0s.In Cashman I trust.

Re: Walking Dead season 8
i might. gonna think about it. it's not a good show.
not sure i've ever hate watched anything. not sure i've ever hated anything period.
i desperately look for signs they might return to a once exceptionally good show but it's clear AMC have undercut everything and anything that might sniff excellence.
they have one character development point in this show. eight season in and character development point. for two dozen characters. and they still screw it up.
every week, the mess up continuity, they mess uneasy set-pieces, they mess up attack plans, fight sequences, technical details. it actually takes some dedication to be this ***** at something.
and they have good actors. they have a bunch of them. each week the script is delivered, these guys & girls must roll their eyes: "oh it's my turn to question whether killing is ok. no problem, i've not done that for half a season."
(and i should note, being that andy's frustrated with something that should be damn good being dragged into the crapper simply cos those in charge are fuktards.)

Re: Walking Dead season 8
What I meant by that is you come in the thread pretty regularly and take a dump all over the show with a rant. Saying pretty much the same thing each time, just in different ways. It's exactly what Andy does in the other thread. (I have no desire to discuss that here, his reasons or if he's justified, I was just making a comparison) He rants about the same thing using different words at least once a day. So you remind me of:
Just admit it, you're hate-watching. It's cool, you don't like it. I totally get it. But you can't deny you're a hate-watcher. You continue to tune in, dislike almost every aspect of the show (the characters, the writing, the directing, the acting, the storyline, who dies, who lives, oversights, etc, etc, etc). So just say it "I'm hate-watching at this point".In Cashman I trust.

Re: Walking Dead season 8
i know what the phrase means.
but as john said, i'm not a hate watcher. i call out the bad bits (which are frequent) cos the show could be amazing.Bring tea for the Tillerman; Steak for the son; Wine for the woman
who made the rain come; Seagulls sing your hearts away;
'Cause while the sinners sin, the children play ...
