Even if Frazier wasn't a good defender and surprisingly "clutch", he's worth keeping around for his ability to keep the clubhouse loose.

I would 100% agree, but as others have pointed out, he's only 31 and will cost too much money.

What do people think he will cost?

They have to keep him no matter what. He's too valuable to this team.

Trade Starlin, Gleyber to 2B, Todd at 3B.

He's basically gonna get Headley money. $14-16M/yr.

Yeah thats the only reason he might not be back imo. With us wanting to get under the luxury tax, I can't see us giving him that much.

Im not sure. Probably more than the contract they gave Headley, but less than the Red Sox gave Sandoval. Either way I think Torres or Andujar (if he can play defense) should be the guy there. I guess they could trade Chase and use the money to pay Todd, but it just doesn't make sense to me.

I've grown to like the guy a lot, and he's had some big hits... but it doesn't make sense to give him a big contract.

He's probably looking to cash in on this contract too. He's probably never gonna get another real shot at a long contract.

Andujar to 3B. Make Todd your DH and Headly a full time bench player.

I love Frazier and what he brings to the table, but signing him to a multi-year deal would probably be a mistake. Iím only interested in a one year deal, and thereís no way heís down for that, considering itís his first shot at free agency.

I agree. I love the guy too, but I'm afraid he'll just turn into a pumpkin again next year, even if it's a pumpkin with a great attitude. Paying a guy for a terrific half-season usually turns out to be a mistake.

    Admit it, you're a RABID anti-pumpkinite.

Sure, it starts with a few jokes .... "Hey Pumpie!" Next you'll be saying they should have their own schools ...
