    EDIT: What sjb23 said.
Would much rather have a power lefthanded bat who can play RF as the Holliday replacement rather than another corner infielder. We are too righthanded for Yankee Stadium as it is, and Gleyber is pretty much a lock to make the team, with Headley backing up the corners. It would be nice to have that left hand power bat who could play RF if Judge really struggled next year.

Frazier out at 2nd base on the hidden ball trick? Is this a case of Toddfoolery?

I know he's an extremely flawed player, but I would seriously consider bringing him back here on a one year deal. He seems to be really good in the club house.

I never thought I would still be discussing this part of the trade.

3 WAR this year. Not easy to replace. Higher WAR than Machado. Worth bringing back so we can take it slow with Torres

I found it funny that he was asking Gary to tag the hitter. He is absolutely one of those guys who is thinking about the game constantly.

I'm not sure he fits next year unless they can move Headley. Also I'm not sure he's looking for a 1 year deal. Even with his flaws seems like he's in line for a multi-year deal which probably doesn't fit with the Yanks long term plans.

he gives me Paul O'Neill vibes. I say keep him at third beyond this year. 2 year deal if possible

Yeah unless he accepts a one year deal, this is probably a one and done for him which is a shame because he solidified 3rd base and provided some pop at the bottom of the order. There's probably just no way to keep he, Bird, Headley plus Gleyber will likely be knocking on the door to play 3rd as well. You're not going to bring Torres up to be a Torreyes replacement so there's no room for a locked in every day 3rd basemen probably.

Although if you move Castro and put Torres at 2nd base, maybe that could open up some room financially.

if torres is healthy and has a great spring training he should play he is the future of this yanks powerhouse team....

I love his attitude, his hustle, and it seems like he loves it in NY. Id like to see him back on a 1 year deal but IMO he is a goner after the season. Someone will sign him to a 2-3 year deal.

I like him, but no more mediocre types to contracts.

Time for Andj (3B), Gley (2B), Wade (2B/3B).

Wow, Suzyn just told a story about Frazier in response to Francesa starting to take the angle that Frazier was a leader because he was an outgoing, energetic yuckster. She says, no, it's more than that - Frazier saw a young guy who was on the DL come to the park late (around 5:20, I think) when they were in Fenway (I think) and pulled him aside to give him a very stern directive to never do it again. Impressive.

If he were a few years older, I'd say offer him a job as bench coach. But he's only 31.

Same reason he probably can't be signed on a one-year deal.

I've grown really fond of the guy. A pity he probably won't be back.

Did she also mention that this certain young DL'd player also requested Mickey mantle's number?

I believe I said part Scott Brosius, part AJ Burnett. I'm not totally comfortable with the Burnett comparison but I couldn't think of another Yankee that had a similarly affable nature. Maybe Nick Swisher?
