    Matt Holliday .285, 6HR

    Starlin Castro .341, 6HR

    Aaron Judge .315, 13 HR

    Didi Gregorius .321, 1HR

    Sanchez ?

He leads the team in NOTHING yet bats in the plumb spot. I assure you that this was noted by his former mates and was a bone of contention in the clubhouse. These stats will slowly separate and it will be clear that Matt's a bum.

Please show me another #3 hitter anywhere with a higher strikeout ratio. He's hitting better than his norm right now but has 30 S.O. in 95 AB's! Do you really want a 3 hole hitter that strikes out 150 times? The sooner Joe figures this out the better (it ain't rocket science)
Did you ever think that those guys are having the seasons they are because of where they are batting? Maybe Girardi has a bit more knowledge and understanding of the situation than you do!!!

Every time I see Holliday hit a bomb or have a good game - I smile and think how stupid this thread is

Oh come on, how can you say that? What experience does Girardi have? Fifteen years as a player, and eleven as a manager?

I mean str8carter has been on this board for 7 tears as a backseat manager, he has had to have learned something. It isn't fair to jump on him

Re: Don't fall in love with Matt Holliday

So far I'd have to give this FA signing an A+.

It's fun watching a career .300 hitter hit, and he's doing a great job protecting hitters in front and in back of him. The guy is built like a tank and the young players marvel at his strength and work ethic. He's regularly facing pitchers he's never faced before, since he's been in the NL for the past 8 seasons. On pace for 30+ HRs and 100+ RBIs, and he's not pull-happy. What a great fit!

Given all that I can see how it's easy to fall in love with Matt Holliday.

That's our second Arby's in town. Some say it's better, the fries are curlier, though I wouldn't know. I'm loyal to the original.

We're going to need a ruling on that.

I don't love Matt, but I a glad that he is on our team. I only wish he were here from the start of his career.
